tele-evangelist scandals: true or false prophets?

2639rev.jpgpaula-white.jpgroberts.jpgzachary-tims.jpgthomas-weeks.jpgtd-jakes.jpgjuanita-bynum.jpgearl-paulk.jpgdonnie-mcclurkin.jpg

Zachary Tims! Thomas Weeks and Juanita Bynum! Donnie McClurkin! Richard and Lindsey Roberts! T.D. Jakes! Earl Paulk! Paula White! Jamal Bryant! All of these names have come up on the internet, television and printed news papers this year with allegations. Is your favorite tele-evangelist preaching the full truth? Does there lifestyle both in the pulpit and behind closed doors clearly line up with the scriptures teachings on church leaders? Are we even allowed to judge them solely on the basis of what there outward appearance shows us? These are some questions many of you have. Instead of listing the allegations of these preachers, lets go to the Word of God to clearly see what It says understanding the Bible is our final authority on all things.

What should your favorite pastor be teaching and preaching?

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

How should your favorite tele-evangelist be baptizing?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

What type of lifestyle must be lived in and out the pulpit?

1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

What does the bible say about false prophets?

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

What will happen to false prophets?

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Can we judge people in leadership?

Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

What about modern day doctrines that either have twisted concepts or no scripture to support them, what should I believe?

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Finally what must you do to be saved?

John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Dear friend, after reading the above scriptures, can you truly say that your tele-evangelist is a true messenger of God? You don’t have to wait until you get to heaven to find out, you can know right now. Judge for yourselves. It is my honest prayer that all those that claim to be called by God LINE-UP with the Word of God in both word and deeds.

Have you been baptised in Jesus Name? Have you received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues? If not, I submit unto you today to obey Acts 2:38.

What if you could be born again?

    292_dove6.jpg

What if you could be born again?

The new birth is not something the church does for you. It is not joining a church. Being born again is not turning over a new leaf. It is not making and keeping resolutions. It is not shaking a preacher’s hand or keeping religious externals. it is more than saying “I accept Jesus as my personal Savior.” The new birth experience is miraculous! Supernatural!

What if you could be born again?

Despite the hype and hypocrisy, and despite the skepticism and cynicism, you can be born again! Here’s how: “Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38)

What exciting opportunities await you when you are born again! You need not wait any longer. You can be born again today.

United Pentecostal Church and the TV Issue

    upctv.png

As you know, I being COOLJC try to keep up with what the other Apostolic Church organizations are doing. Many of you may not know that the UPCI Articles of Faith are against owning a television. This year at the General Conference they decided that it was OK to advertise your church on TV but you still CANNOT OWN ONE! I have always admired the UPCI stance on Holiness (with the exception of that no facial hair rule for men) due to the fact that they have not compromised with the worlds way of doing things. Now before you jump to conclusions, YES, they can own computers and have the internet but there are strict guidelines for usage. Below you can read for yourself what they believe on computers and the internet. I wanted to open up the floor for discussion on how you feel about this whole “tv” issue. LET THE DISCUSSION BEGIN!

    Technology  Excerpt:

Holiness as a spiritual experience and a way of life is not an option for a Christian but a biblical injunction. We are to “cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (II Corinthians 7:1). We are urged, “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God” and “be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:1-2).  Jesus said that we are in the world but not of the world (John 17:14-16); therefore, we are not to love the world, neither the things in the world, for the world appeals to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life (I John 2:15-16). A Christian is “to keep himself unspotted from the world” (James 1:27), for we are to so live that we may be “blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15). As a people who have been delivered from darkness, we are to walk as children of light and “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” (Ephesians 5:11).  Since the “whole world lieth in wickedness” (I John 5:19) and we are no longer to live “according to the course of this world” (Ephesians 2:2), and since worldliness is often communicated throughout society by the media, the United Pentecostal Church has expressed its concern that Christians may be influenced by the media to compromise biblical holiness. It has officially dealt with technology in three ways: (1) allowed its use without voicing caution or disapproval (telephone, automobile, microwave, central heating, printing press, photography, computer, etc.); (2) accepted its use with warning and restrictions (radio, video); and (3) rejected its use as being unsuitable for Christians or for their homes (movie theater, television).  The United Pentecostal Church recognizes that technology is not evil in itself, but it feels that it must reject any use of technology that favorably displays a lifestyle of worldliness and ungodliness. Moreover, since technology continues to accelerate in our times, the United Pentecostal Church and Christians must evaluate each new use of technology, especially media technology, in the light of biblical holiness.  The United Pentecostal Church accepts only the Bible and the Holy Spirit as its guides to determine the correct standards of conduct in this world, and it recognizes the responsibility to apply biblical principles in a changing world. Neither the Bible nor the United Pentecostal Church teaches that salvation can be earned by good works, but both contend that holiness in behavior results from a transforming experience of the Holy Ghost, and is therefore incumbent upon each Christian.  The church has an obligation to establish standards of conduct when necessary, but it refuses to make rules for every aspect of daily living. Each Christian is responsible to God to maintain holiness in his life, for God alone is his judge, but the church is also responsible to teach biblical standards of holiness.

As new media appear in the marketplace, the Christian must not accept their usage without evaluation of their impact on his spiritual walk with God. We are to “walk circumspectly [looking around us], not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16).

    Computers and the Internet  Excerpt:

One of the new technologies that has been introduced to society in recent years is known as the Internet. This innovation literally brings the entire spectrum of information available in the world into any computer screen. While much of this information is wholesome and useful, a great amount is lewd, pornographic or dangerous. In addition, the Internet provides a forum for direct interpersonal relationships via “chat rooms” and “e-mail.” Many people have been unwittingly snared into corruption by participating in these forums.  The UPCI recognizes that the widespread use of the Internet among our people in the workplace and in the home may not be reversed. At the same time, the very real dangers presented must not be ignored. We, therefore, submit the following guidelines to monitor the access and use of the Internet:  1. Placement of the computer. Any computer used for Internet access should be located in an area of the home that is used by the entire family. This discourages the wrong use by the operator because he or she knows that others will have knowledge of all sites visited on the Internet and what files or pictures are downloaded.  2. Blocking software. A number of programs may now be purchased which prevent vulgar or sexually explicit material from appearing on the computer screen. We urge our people to protect themselves and their families by placing one or more of these programs on each computer used for Internet access.  3. Shared passwords. Unauthorized or unsupervised use of a computer by a minor or a person who is not a family member may be easily stopped by passwords. It is also possible for two people to compose the password with each knowing only a part, thus insuring that two are required to access or unlock a program or Internet site.  4. Log of visited sites. Nearly all Internet browsers include a function that records all sites a user accesses. This log may be reviewed at any time. We recommend that all users be apprised of this feature and a regular evaluation of sites visited be made.  5. Time-Consuming. The interactive nature of the Internet lures many users into spending inordinate amounts of time exploring it. Not only does it waste time, it is addictive as well. We urge our people to exercise great caution and restraint in their use of this medium.

The word that best enables us to regulate the use of the Internet is accountability. Anyone who makes use of this technology ought to recognize the insidious nature of the Internet, and that it especially affects users who access the sites secretly or without the knowledge of others. There are few other areas where the biblical principle of accountability means more than Internet usage. We believe that every effort to establish and maintain accountability is vital to our people who are involved in the Internet.

    witch will you serve?

    180px-jackolantern.jpg

As of today we are 8 days away from a major pagan holiday called Halloween. It is my desire to share with you that Christians should not participate in this evil holiday. The scripture is very clear about those who practice and participate in events that are contrary to the will of the Lord Jesus! I submit to each and every Christian of every denomination to forsake the ways of this sinful world and follow Christ. Did you know that practicing or participating in Halloween activities will cause you to loose out on the Kingdom of God? Let’s look at what the book of Galatians talks about.

Galatians 5:19-21 says Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Did you know that we are mandated by scripture to choose between serving God (who is the Lord Jesus Christ) or the gods of this world. Let’s see what the book of Joshua states. Joshua 24:15 says “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Parents, you are held responsible for the things your children learn and the bible mandates you to train them up in the ways of the Lord (we need to explain to them why they are not going to put on costumes and go trick or treating). Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

You know, when I was growing up, we really did not know better. My mother use to dress us up on Halloween and take us to haunted mansions in NYC and we really had no clue that these activities were displeasing to Jesus. It was not until we all got older that we relised that such a holiday should be shunned by Christians all together. I grew up going to Parochial schools (Christian) schools and they literally had us dress up every Halloween to see who had the best costume. What an oxymoron! How is it that a Christian school can sponsor for even just once a year for demons, ghouls and goblins to show up all out of fun? Then after school was out, we all went running into the streets with our costumes on begging for candy at the local candy stores. Back in the early 80’s children were getting poisoned (sacrificed) for the cause of SATAN and no one told us that participating in this day was wrong.

Saints, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:17 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.” Reject Halloween and say YES to the Lord. Below, I have done some research on Halloween and I hope it enlightens you even the more.

    Historical View of Halloween

Halloween, or Hallowe’en, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, Halloween festivals, bonfires, costume parties, visiting “haunted houses” and viewing horror films. Halloween originated from the Pagan festival Samhain, celebrated among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is now celebrated in several parts of the western world, most commonly in Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom.

The modern holiday of Halloween has its origins in the ancient Gaelic festival known as Samhain. The Festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, and is regarded as ‘The Celtic New Year’. Traditionally, the festival was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and slaughter livestock for winter stores. The Ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, where the bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or placate them. When the Romans occupied Celtic territory, several Roman traditions were also incorporated into the festivals. Feralia, a day celebrated in late October by the Romans for the passing of the dead as well as a festival which celebrated the Roman Goddess Pomona, the goddess of fruit were incorporated into the celebrations. The symbol of Pomona was an apple, which is a proposed origin for the tradition of bobbing for apples on Halloween.

The carved pumpkin, lit by a candle inside, is one of Halloween’s most prominent symbols. This is an Irish tradition of carving a lantern which goes back centuries. These lanterns are usually carved from a turnip or swede (or more uncommonly a mangelwurzel). The carving of pumpkins was first associated with Halloween in North America, where the pumpkin was available, and much larger and easier to carve. Many families that celebrate Halloween carve a pumpkin into a frightening or comical face and place it on their home’s doorstep after dark. The jack-o’-lantern can be traced back to the Irish legend of Stingy Jack, a greedy, gambling, hard drinking old farmer who tricked the devil into climbing a tree, and trapped him by carving a cross into the trunk of the tree. In revenge, the devil placed a curse on Jack which dooms him to forever wander the earth at night. For centuries, the bedtime parable was told by Irish parents to their children. But in America the tradition of carving pumpkins is known to have preceded the Great Famine period of Irish immigration, and the tradition of carving vegetable lanterns may also have been brought over by the Scottish or English; documentation is unavailable to establish when or by whom. The carved pumpkin was associated generally with harvest time in America, and did not become specifically associated with Halloween until the mid to late 19th century. The imagery surrounding Halloween is largely an amalgamation of the Halloween season itself, nearly a century of work from American filmmakers and graphic artists, and a rather commercialized take on the dark and mysterious. Halloween imagery tends to involve death, magic, or mythical monsters. Common Halloween characters include ghosts, ghouls, witches, vampires, bats, owls, crows, vultures, haunted houses, pumpkin men, black cats, aliens, spiders, goblins, zombies, mummies, skeletons, and demons. Particularly in America, symbolism is inspired by classic horror films, which contain fictional figures like Dracula, Frankenstein’s monster, and The Mummy. More modern horror antagonists like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Leather face, Jason Voorhees, and the Jigsaw Killer have also become associated with the holiday. Homes are often decorated with these symbols around Halloween. Black and orange are the traditional colors of Halloween. In modern Halloween images and products, purple, green and red are also prominent. The use of these colors is largely a result of holiday advertising dating back over a century, and tends to be associated with various aspects of Halloween tradition.

    Color associations Color Symbolism

Black = death, night, witches, black cats, bats, vampires

Orange = pumpkins, jack o’ lanterns, Autumn, the turning leaves, fire

Purple = night, the supernatural, mysticismGreen goblins, monsters, zombies, aliens

White = Ghosts, mummies, a full moon

Red = blood, fire, demons, Satan

    Bishop Arthur Brazier leaves PAW

    bishop_med.jpg

You heard it first here on the Pope Of Pentecost Blog! This is one sad day (and over something that is so 100% false doctrine). P.A.W. keep your head up and keep preaching the full truth and don’t compromise, as there is no such thing as “eternal security”. You mine as well join Carlton Pearson and his “shin dig” movement if your going to preach such a heresy! What is a heresy? Lets go to Websters Dictionary to see what the definition is.

1 adherence to a religious opinion contrary to church dogma b: an opinion or doctrine contrary to church dogma
2 a: dissent or deviation from a dominant theory, opinion, or practice b: an opinion, doctrine, or practice contrary to the truth or to generally accepted beliefs or standards

    Bishop Brazier leaves PAW

    by Kathy Chaney
    October 11, 2007

In an unexpected move that could cause fiscal strain to an international faith-based organization, a well-known South Side church has severed its ties with the group after 75 years. Citing differing doctrinal views, Bishop Arthur Brazier of the Apostolic Church of God has pulled the church from under the auspices of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (PAW) Brazier has been the pastor of Apostolic for 46 years. It was founded in 1932.

At issue is the non-progressive mindset of many of the organization’s executive board members. There is limited objectivity of who is deemed an appropriate speaker at the PAW’s national conference. Brazier, including others, felt that non-Apostolic members should be allowed to speak at the convention. Long-standing “status quo” members thought otherwise. In short, Brazier felt there was too much exclusiveness within the organization. There are more than 1,000 churches in the PAW, with a total of about one million members.

Brazier is the Illinois diocesan of the PAW, with 80 churches under his tutelage. With a 20,450-member congregation, his church had the largest Illinois membership. Before Brazier’s departure, there were about 35,000 members in the state. Illinois is a major contributor to PAW’s financial structure. The organization has not been financially strong on the operational side, and without the majority of Illinois’ membership on the roster, the fiscal outlook could weaken, according to a certified public accountant and the pastor of another church that is leaving the organization, said District Elder Andrew Singleton.
Singleton, pastor of Victory Apostolic Church in Chicago Heights, Ill. also is  pulling his congregation of 2,000 out of PAW. “My theological views, over the years, have diverged from the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. We were not going down the same path together. I believe in eternal security of the believer. Once the believer is saved, that person will not lose their salvation. The organization does not believe in that,” Brazier told the Defender.

Once a sinner is saved, then backslides, their salvation is lost. That’s what the PAW’s believe has been for a while, he said. “We’ve been at odds on this for a number of years,” Brazier said. Brazier made the decision about two weeks ago after the organization’s executive board meeting at its Indianapolis, Ind. headquarters. After discussing the matter with his congregation, he notified the head of the organization, verbally, of his resignation, effective immediately. “My congregation is 100 percent with me. I plan to submit my formal resignation within the next month,” he said. While the churches under his leadership expressed their desire for Brazier to stay with the organization, they understood his position to leave. In turn, he encouraged them to not leave. “I’m not trying to start an organization and I’m not joining one. I will remain independent,” Brazier said.

The Presiding Bishop of the PAW, Dr. Horace E. Smith, said Brazier’s exit will be a blow to the organization but is holding out hope that his mind will change.
Brazier said, “No.” Smith, pastor of the Apostolic Faith Church in Bronzeville, does share some of Brazier’s concerns but said it’s reasonable to assume that true change can be made. Smith’s congregation is about 2,500 members. “Some of us will be more inclusive. Although Brazier is 86 years old, he has a young mind. There is a group of us that are more progressive and forward-thinking. We are more inclusive than exclusive,” Smith said. When asked if he would consider following Brazier’s lead if he were not PAW’s presiding bishop, he said, “Yes.” He said his philosophy mirrors Brazier’s. “It is better to change something from the inside. Brazier has been in this organization all of his life. He’s seen the evolution. He’s fought all of the battles. I’m younger than he is coming into this situation. I don’t have ‘battle fatigue,’” Smith said.

Singleton, a former member of Brazier’s congregation, said he also decided to part ways with the organization and resigned his post as a district elder over seven Illinois churches, effective Dec. 31 “The number one reason was my limited time and I no longer view it as a progressive organization. Their views are not conducive to the church growth in the 21st century,” Singleton added. Singleton said several pastors within the state are only in the organization because of Brazier. “He has provided wonderful leadership for the years he has been a bishop. With him gone, unless there are strong reasons for them to stay, there’s very high likelihood that some of them will leave. They were in it for him,” Singleton said. In the end, Smith hopes that Brazier and others that are considering leaving the organization could be able to “find not only a middle road, but a road forward.”

    Bishop Weeks Recent Press Conference

I have always been a firm believer that there is 3 sides to every story, HIS side, HER side and then THE TRUTH! Here is the complete press conference of Bishop Thomas Weeks  concerning recent events! I am so done with this issue. The next time I write about this will probably be when they start slinging mud in court (as anything else outside of a court of law is hearsay)

Bynum’s Husband Holds ‘Last Call Sale’

    Associated Press Writer

Less than two months after his arrest on a wife-beating charge, Bishop Thomas W. Weeks III is offering a steep discount on DVDs of his million-dollar wedding to televangelist Juanita Bynum and a book they wrote together.

His lawyer says he may seek alimony because of the losses her accusations are causing him.

Describing his “Last Call Sale” offer, Weeks tells visitors to his Web site, “Make sure that you get it right now because plenty of people are going to ask for it immediately. Get it while it lasts.”

Bynum made a reputation on her no-nonsense talk for black, Christian single women about breaking free of sexual promiscuity. After she and Weeks married in a televised ceremony in July 2002, they wrote “Teach Me How to Love: The Beginnings” and held seminars on marriage and relationships.

But they separated earlier this year and on Aug. 22, Bynum claimed her estranged husband beat her in a hotel parking lot. According to a police report, she told officers Weeks “choked her, pushed her down, kicked and stomped her … until a bellman pulled him off of her.”

Weeks has pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. He is free on $40,000 bond and is not allowed to have contact with Bynum. Bynum’s divorce papers cited “cruel treatment” and said the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

It was not clear how long the “Last Call Sale” has been going on Weeks’ site. The wedding DVD, book and a T-shirt are now available online for $10, advertised as a $60 discount.

Weeks’ divorce attorney, Randy Kessler, said his client denies beating her and is within his rights to sell the items.

“You’re allowed to continue to run your businesses during a divorce,” Kessler said.

Kessler said the posting on the Web of photos of her alleged injuries, Bynum’s continued media appearances and her reference to herself as “the new face of domestic violence” raise questions and “very well may be” a business strategy for her.

“There’s got to be some other reason for her wanting to keep all this stuff alive,” Kessler said. “It seems to add up to a lot more than a reason for a divorce.”

Kessler said if Bynum’s intention is to harm Weeks’ business, he may be advised to seek financial redress.

“He has not yet asked for alimony, but if she is injuring his ability to generate income, then certainly he would have a right to ask for financial remuneration.”

Amy Malone, a spokeswoman for Bynum, had no comment about the sale or the allegations regarding the Web site pictures when reached on her cell phone on Tuesday.

Bynum, 48, is head of a ministry that also includes a gospel record label and seminar tours. She has sold thousands of motivational books, CDs and DVDs related to empowerment and relationships.

Weeks, 40, is known to his followers as Bishop Weeks and is head of Global Destiny Ministries, based in the Atlanta suburb of Duluth.

one more chance: the sister lillian lloyd version

I am so glad Ricky Dillard uses undiscovered talent and showcases them because if  anyone deserves to be showcased across the USA is Sister Lillian Lloyd (who by the way has been Baptised in Jesus Name and has received the Gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues). Now wait a minute, is that James Hall on the front row? Can he even see with those dark glasses? And uh, is this a musical or a church service cause uh, why are there altar boys in the background with balck cassocks on and white surplices? Anywho………..For the recorded/CD version of this song tune in to track number 4 on Ricky Dillards new album The 7th Episode: Live in Toronto. Now excuse me while I get my choir robe on and sing ONE MORE CHANCE along with this choir.

P.S. Listen closely to her adlib’s as she talks about smoking weed, fornication, dying of aids, Celebration of Life musicals (aka Homegoings), drinking, going to clubs, being a crack head, looking for a vein to fill herself with drugs but God gave her ONE MORE CHANCE.

If I were you, I’d hit the floor for victory right now, cause it could have been YOU, but God gave you ONE MORE CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (my gawd I feel a Love Fellowship Tabernacle Praise creeping up on me tonight)

church spotlight of the week: the pentecostals of alexandria

This week the Pope of Pentecost would like to spotlight a slamming apostolic church out of Alexandria, LA named The Pentecostals of Alexandria (UPCI) where Anthony Mangun is Pastor. As you can tell by the clip above, the African American church does not have a monopoly on the Ma-Shun-Da! Our Caucasian brothers and sisters can get down too when the Power of God hits in a good ole fashion Apostolic Church Service. Keep up the good work spreading the Oneness message Pastor Mangun and Church Family. My only question is “where was I when this service went down, God knows I would have danced myself into a coma”

Guess How Many Got The Holy Ghost At the UPCI Convention?

    upci.jpg

General Conference 2007 – Tampa, FL

    http://www.upci.org/

    OFFICIAL COUNTS:
    587 received the Holy Ghost
(18 of those called in via Internet Streaming)
    92 baptized in Jesus’ name

This is the best news I have heard all week. With all the bank robbery’s and murders and divorce rate at an astronomical high, the United Pentecostal Church reports that during there Holy Convocation 587 people got the Holy Ghost (18 of which got it just by watching the streaming internet service) and 92 people were baptized in Jesus Name.

Saints, I admonish each Apostolic organization that when we come together in large numbers whether church, district meetings or Holy Convocations, our main goal should always be about souls. The Lord Jesus could care less about your business meetings and offering collections. Granted, the House of God needs order, but there is a time and a place for everything. Holy Convocations should be geared toward renewals and birthing new souls into the Kingdom of God.

Ask yourself this question, how many people got the Holy Ghost this year at YOUR convention? How many souls went down in Jesus Name? If the answer is ZERO, something is wrong. We must steadfastly continue in the Apostles Doctrine with Jesus Christ being the Chief cornerstone. When it comes to God, numbers DO matter! Have you witnessed today? Have you invited someone to your local assembly? Take the time out this upcoming weekend to invite someone to Christ so that they too can inherit eternal life just like you did!

    Be blessed in Jesus Name!

cult of the year award: the united house of prayer for all people

    enterior1.gifcharlotte-mother-house.gif

Tonight, I went to the grand opening of a brand spanking new mortgage free United House of Pray for All People Church on the Rock of the Apostolic Faith. The Pope of Pentecost would like to declare (with the rest of the world) that this version of the Apostolic Faith is a 100% CULT! I did not go into the new church as a worshipper but as a reporter to let the whole world know that this organization is going straight to hell with gasoline draws on them. Mind you, as long as there is life, there is hope, and the peopleof this organization still have time to turn to the ONE LORD who can save them and His Name is Jesus Christ (NOT DADDY GRACE, DADDY MCCULLOUGH OR DADDY MADISON)! Here is a play by play of what took place tonight at this cathedral.

I have always heard since a little boy that The United House Of Prayer was known for there big shout bands, parades, and now allegiance to the Trinity (Daddies GRACE, MCCULLOUGH and MADISON). I got dressed in my good church clothes knowing this grand opening was going to resemble that of a Holy Convocation. As with most cults, everything is not bad, I mean, how else would you be able to draw such a crowd if your cultish intentions were easily exposed. Its once you get into the church that you find this is not your ordinary church.

Picture this, ushers in white apparel, choir’s from all over the the State in beautiful choir robes. Parishoners in there finest apparel (and no women in pants by the way). As I stood outside waiting for the doors to open, the congregation (along with the shout band) was playing regular songs that you would normally here in your traditional Pentecostal services. Ohhhhh, but when Daddy Madison (the successor of Daddy Grace) pulled up in his black limo, boy did the crowd go wild (as if Jesus had just arrived). The crowd went so wild that there was literally a car accident in front of the church (more then likely from people attempting to see what all the noise was all about). Daddy Madison opened up the the church doors and everyone filed in very orderly and quickly.

This is where the tables turn. It was standing room only and once again, yours truly could not get a seat for nothing! Not one but TWO SHOUT BANDS where in the front of the church playing as loud as they could. It almost sounded like a pep rally (the church version that is). I was in awe of this magnificent edifice. From the pictures above, you can tell that they have the gift of architecture. Furthermore, in order to have the grand opening service of a new edifice, the church must be completely paid for and the mortgage is burned! I admire that about them. These jokers have a vision, to bad its blurry!

The Apostle of house opened up with a word of prayer. He began to pray like any regular Christian starts there prayers out. Then he flipped the script. He started talking about Daddy Grace and how Jesus prayed for another comforter and that comforter was there leader Daddy Grace (Now the successor Daddy Madison). “We thank you Oh Lord for your servant Daddy Madison. He is doing your work lord and we love you for sending him to us. Thank you Jesus for Daddy! If it was not for Daddy where would we be”. (by now I am beginning to plead the blood of Jesus because people are screeching, eyes are rolling in the back of there heads and the AINTS are now bobbing up and down like they are at a carnival in the French Corners of New Orleans during Mardi Gras). The preacher ended the prayer and I quote like this “all in the Name of Jesus through Daddy Grace”. I had to hold my composer because I was ready to slap somebody down with some Bishop Bonner Holy Oil. WHAT!!!!!!! DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!! SAY IT ISN’T SO!!!!!!!!!!

Then the congregation gave Praise to God (with minor clapping) but when the preacher told everyone to stand up and Praise God for Daddy Madison, the bands starting playing as loud as they can shaking the brand new stain glass windows! Everyone started to shout. And this was no MA SHUN DA dance either. I saw some women spitting up, speaking in tongues, running to the front dancing before Daddy, ushers were attempting to control the crowd but everyone just kept on Praising Daddy. Some people quickened, screamed out blessings to Daddy and well, this went on and on until the band stopped playing.

I literally said out loud “OH, so we are governed by the music huh”. No one paid any attention to me because by now, they were all in a deep trance focused on what Daddy had did for them which was build them a new edifice.

One thing I can say, there band is off the chain. I would love to hear a United House of Prayer Shout Band with a COGIC organist and see how that would pan out. They played with such emotions, I almost felt like crying because it was just so fervent. Then I had to snap out of it! I said to myself “POPE, snap out of it, your only here to tell everyone on your blog NOT to go to any of these church services” but I tell you, they played and played and played till NO NOT ONE!

Fast forwarding to the middle, the wonderful choirs were summoned to the front to sing for daddy and do there very best for him. They were each given 5 minutes. Wonderful red robes and blue robes. I said WOW, they look good! And guess what, they sounded good too. Then the church choir of the brand new edifice broke out at the end of the song into one mean ole dance (again, not the ma-shun-da but the New Orleans TRANCE DANCE). The ushers could not even help any of the choir members because it was there own church. The presider of the service said “All right now, this is there new church, let them Praise Him, let them Praise Him. The bands started playing again and everyone went bizzerk. Then when the music stopped, they all sat down as if the TRANCE was over.

Finally, a choir got up and sang Youthful Praise “Incredible God deserves an Incredible Praise”. OH NO!!!!!!!!!!! They flipped the script again and started to sing and incredible DADDY deserves an incredible Praise. Daddy we love you. Daddy we adore you. Your incredible (and uh, this time I knew it was not Jesus they were talking about). Once again, after this, the band got up and started playing that NEW ORLEANS TRANCE SHOUT MUSIC and everyone got up and danced again. By this time I had had enough. I was tired of seeing this show with Daddy Madison sitting on a great white throne called the mountain top. I was tired of the people praising God for Daddy. I was tired of people falling out and speaking in false tongues all the while giving credit to this NEW SERVANT, Daddy Madison. So what did the Pope do????? I pleased the blood of Jesus and walked out and found my way to the kitchen to order me a dinner. LOL LOL LOL

That’s one thing them jokers can do is cook. Mmmmmmm Mmmmm Good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yup, I was hungry and ate some of the cults food and it was good! LOL

Saints, on serious note, let us keep the United House of Prayer in our prayers. Pray that the truth is revealed unto them. The last time I had been to one of these services I did witness to one Lady. She was ga ga for Daddy Madison and did not want to hear what I had to say. Pray that they all get it right before its too late. And now, I must eat my macaroni and cheese and candy yams, care of Daddy Madison.

The United House of Prayer for All People®was founded by Charles Manuel Grace (Marcelino Manuel da Graca) (1881?-1960), who proclaimed himself as “Bishop” in 1919. Marcelino Manuel da Graca was born in Brava Verde in the Cape Verde Islands. In 1919 Bishop Grace built the first United House of Prayer For All People in West Wareham, Massachusetts, and incorporated the United House of Prayer for All People in Washington, D.C. in 1927. The United House of Prayer for All People has over 100 places of worship in 23 states. The National Headquarters for the church is located in Washington, D.C.
