I am very excited about this years Congress and cant wait to see you all. From the pep rally’s, to the basketball games and most important the Preached and Sung Word of God, I am most sure this year will be one of the best International Congresses ever. I am praying for everyones traveling mercy as we all get on those church buses, cars, planes and trains. You can count on me to bring back an accurate report of what has happened while we were in Detroit. With that in mind, see you soon.

The Resurrection Story Preached From A Casket! Huh????

…and yall think I am infatuated with funerals. Why is this Reverend preaching the Resurrection Easter Story from a casket? Then they roll the casket out the church with him preaching in the casket? What? Huh? Talk about theatrics (and I thought my church was emotional).

HE LIVES – Happy Resurrection Sunday

John 20

1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

2Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

3Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

4So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

5And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

6Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

7And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

8Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

9For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

10Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

11But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,

12And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my LORD, and I know not where they have laid him.

14And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

15Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

17Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

18Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

19Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

20And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.

21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

23Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the LORD. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

29Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

30And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Good Friday (or Thursday)

Jesus gives us the answer in Matthew 12:40, “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

If Jesus died on Friday afternoon and rose on Sunday, that would not make 3 NIGHTS. No matter how you add it up, you can never get three nights from Friday to Sunday morning. Friday does not give us enough time for three days and three nights. We know that Jesus arose from the dead on Sunday, which is the first day of the week. The key to knowing what day the crucifixion took place is the “three nights” part. We must not only count the three days but also THREE NIGHTS.

Jesus Died on Thursday
Buried on Thursday. In the grave already on Thursday night = 1 night. In Tomb all day on Friday and Friday night = 2 nights
All day Saturday and then Saturday night= 3 nights
Rising again on Sunday morning….before dawn. Remember the “Three nights” part is the key to understanding the day in which Jesus was crucified.

Jesus on the cross

Regardless of if you believe that Jesus was crucified on Thursday or Friday, the fact remains that he died and unlike Muhammad, Hare Krishna, Daddy Grace, Father Divine and Jim Jones (whom all remain in their graves until this day awaiting hells fire and brimstone for being the false prophets they were) Jesus rose again!  This is the only holy-day commanded of by Our Lord to observe (which we do during holy communion) commemorating the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ until He comes. (Matthew 26:26-29)

Glory to Your Holy Name Lord Jesus Christ, you did not stay in the grave but you got up with all Power in Your hands!

During this time I am asking that you concentrate yourselves, giving God the freedom to move among his people. In addition to the consecration, the Congress will host a PRE-CONGRESS REVIVAL beginning at 7pm nightly on Sunday, March 23rd and ending Tuesday evening, March 25th at Solomon’s Temple, 2341 East 7 Mile Road, Detroit, MI. Our very own CHIEF APOSTLE WILLIAM L. BONNER will run the three day revival and we are anticipating an over-flow of the anointing and presence of God.

Our Evangelistic team will also arrive in Detroit one week prior to the Congress. This team will strategically minister on the street corners and in a variety of sin stricken venues in order to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. They will compelling them to give their lives to Christ as well as joining us in our worship services where there lives will never be the same. It is our intention not to just have a shouting good time, but to see souls saved, delivered and set free by the power of the Holy Ghost.

Please join us in preparing the way by eating one meal a day or participating in the Daniel fast (no meats or sweets). My prayer is that every service, workshop, song, preacher and recreational activity be filled with the presence of God.

It’s Still Holiness Or Hell!

 Read the Bible

This post is in response to the story below. I felt the need to repost this all over again. As an African American Male, I am ashamed of the state that the Black church is in. I was on the phone this morning with a good girlfriend of mine from Atlanta and she told me that a certain Bishop (E. Bernard Jordan) was in town last night in Atlanta. He boldly told the congregation that there was no hell and that we as Pentecostal’s have been deceived. He then went on to say that there was no Lucifer and that the only evil person was Adam because he was disobedient to God for eating the “fig tree! (I have no clue where he got that from but any way). He then proceeded to tell the congregants that he wanted them to pledge money so that God can bless them. Tens of thousands of dollars started to pour in from the pockets of these “seekers” looking for that financial miracle from God. He then told them that in order to be blessed they must purchase his books and cd’s.

Saints, something is totally wrong here. As we read in the story below, the young 17 year old lived his life as a woman, was shot and killed and left to die in an ally. His mother opted to bury him as a man due to the fact that he was born a man and not a woman. The point that I am trying to make is, how many of us in our churches have ministries that would have been able to help this young man? Or are we (the leaders of the church) and we (the congregants of the church) all so caught up with financial miracles and blessings that we tend to leave the more “serious and offensive” sins unnoticed? What could I have done to prevent this mans untimely death. Could he have come to Refuge Temple dressed as a woman without someone wanting to “stone him alive” or would my church have been able to handle this person’s need. No sin is greater than the other no matter how you look at it. You can use words like “abomination, hate, loath etc etc” but it still all boils down to the same thing. SIN! For heavens sake, just over a week ago a young 12 year old boy was killed here in Charlotte because he was coming home from a birthday party. Everyone is so scared to tell who the murderer is, a Pastor has to put up a $15,000 reward just to make people talk! THE DEVIL IS A LIAR! Open up your mouth and tell who did this to this boy so his family can rest at night. I personally dont know who my fathers murderer is and that was over 19 years ago. Why? Because the people in the community are so afraid to stand up against the devil and his nasty tricks!

I blame the church for not coming to the rescue. I then blame the black community for staying uneducated about “alternative lifestyles”. Learn the World but do not be OF the World! Do we all need to start wearing the WWJD (What Would Jesus Do) bracelets again? This could have been your brother, shot, and dead, in his grave, on his way to a burning hell! Yet we have preachers that have the nerve to get up and say that “hell does not exist and neither does the devil” when it is so clear that hell truly does exist for all those who are not born again!

How dare we just sit aside and not do anything, say anything. We are just as guilty as the world when it comes to hate crimes. Pastors preach hatred towards sissies, fags and dykes yet secretly leadership is dealing with it themselves.  The casket has been closed, the funeral is over and the boy is buried and this mother is left to grieve all by herself. We wink at the girl that gets pregnant out of wedlock and the “little drummer boy” who impregnate her, we plead the blood of Jesus against other Holy Ghost filled Baptized in Jesus Name Acts 2:38 toting Christians yet we have a whole world who needs to be saved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 brothers in prision. I WILL REPEAT THAT AGAIN, I have 2 brothers in prison that I am praying that God saves. When God does save them, will your church accept them just as they are and teach them how to live Holy? Will my church teach them the ways of holiness? Or are we going to look at them as someone who is lower, lesser than us and run them out into the world. FOR GODS SAKES, WAKE UP BLACK COMMUNITY! Stop being so ignorant of the devils devices! The Lord Jesus owns cattle on 1,000 hills. Why are you still trying to get your financial breakthrough? Why are you shouting over mess? Why are you not ministering? Why are you not doing YOUR PART! Shame on YOU, YOU and YOU for not coming to this poor mans rescue! Quiet as it’s kept, each one of us has a homosexual, a drunkard, a thief and a lesbian in our family. When is the last time you witnessed to him? LAST EASTER???????????????? Say it isn’t so! Christ is soon to come and we need to all be about our fathers business. Let’s not let this happen again.

Today, reach out to someone who does not look like you. Invite them to your local assembly and show them the ways of Holiness! Teach a dying nation that Christ is soon to come and that just as real as the Lord Jesus Christ is, so is the DEVIL, his DEMONS and HELL! Christ wishes that all should come into repentance and in the knowledge of Him. Do your part and Christ will do the rest!

Victim Dressed As A Woman, But `Buried As A Boy’

WHOA! I thought I’d share this with all of my readers. I think most of us had heard about this hate crime that took place against this woman. What are your thoughts, comments, ANYTHING?????????? I am speechless to say the least!
Victim dressed as a woman, but `buried as a boy’
In the days since the shooting death of a Fort Lauderdale teenager who police said was dressed as a woman, a conflicted portrait has emerged.By AUDRA D.S. BURCH

Simmie Lewis Williams Jr.

Simmie Lewis Williams Jr., 17, was buried over the weekend wearing a handsome beige suit and white gloves. His mother, Denise King, had searched to find the right outfit. It would be the first and only time she would see a suit on her oldest boy.

Simmie, who was openly gay, was found fatally shot early Feb. 22 in a scrappy lot off Sistrunk Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.

He was found dressed as a woman. He was buried dressed as a man.

”Simmie’s friends asked me if I was going to dress him as a woman for the funeral. I said no. I gave birth to a boy, and my baby would be buried as a boy,” says King, 38, her thin voice suddenly firm. “I don’t know . . . what he did or didn’t do across town. What I know is that he was gay and didn’t deserve to be gunned down because of who he was.”

Fort Lauderdale police spokesman Sgt. Frank Sousa said Wednesday that the case is not being classified as a hate crime, but that investigators have not ruled out Simmie’s sexual orientation as a factor. Police would not disclose any other details of the case.

In the days since Simmie died, a blurred, layered portrait has emerged.

Friends and family say all Simmie ever wanted to do was become a chef, own a fancy restaurant and move his family to California. He had stopped attending high school, with King’s blessing, but he planned to earn his GED. Some friends and a relative say he was troubled.

Patricia Ann Young, a close friend of Denise King and her children, cries after she viewed the body of Simmie Williams Jr. in the casket at the funeral home, on Wednesday. She said she saw Simmie grow up. Photo: Charles Trainor Jr

He was shot on a stretch of Sistrunk Boulevard that police say is known for transvestite prostitution. ”The victim was dressed as a woman,” according to a police statement. Because he was a minor, any juvenile records would be sealed.

Police say Simmie went by several nicknames, including Chris and Beyoncé. His mother says he loved the pop star’s songs, but that she had never heard him refer to himself as Beyoncé.

”Simmie had really long hair, and he had his eyebrows arched. But he didn’t wear fake nails or eyelashes, and I never saw him dressed as a woman,” says King, who works at a nursing home. “I have tried not to think about all this.”

The investigation into Simmie’s death has produced few leads. Broward Crime Stoppers has received only two tips, a small number for a homicide. Neither tip panned out.

Here’s what is known: Simmie spent most of his last day at home, in an apartment complex off U.S. 441 just west of Fort Lauderdale. He was baby-sitting his year-old nephew Jamar and waiting for a cable repair technician. As on most days, Simmie prepared supper for his mother: steak, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables.

”Simmie loved to cook. He would watch the Food Network, then experiment,” King says. “The cable person never showed up. If they had come and fixed the [cable], he would have never went out because he wanted to see Make Me a Supermodel.”

King gave her son $2 to go across town to meet friends. Hours later, he got into an argument with two males wearing dark clothing, police said. Witnesses heard gunshots, and the men ran away.

The possible link between Simmie’s sexual orientation and shooting death, coupled with an attack two days later on Melbourne Brunner at a popular Las Olas Boulevard restaurant after he had breakfast with his partner, has incited strong reaction from gay-advocacy groups.

”Simmie has become the most recent face . . . of someone hurt or killed because of who they are,” says Brian Winfield, a spokesman for Equality Florida. “People are feeling absolute anger that another young life was taken.”

The gay community raised money to help pay for Simmie’s funeral, held a town hall meeting that addressed gay bashing and renewed efforts to get a school-bullying law passed in the state Legislature — with amendments specifying protection for sexual orientation, identity and expression. Proposals in the House and Senate would prohibit bullying and harassment of any student or employee of a public K-12 educational institution.

”We are looking for a uniform statewide policy that holds the schools accountable on the issues of bullying and violence,” Winfield says. “It is hell in school for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students. So many feel alone and or are the target of violence.”

More than 100 mourners gathered last week for a vigil at the spot where Simmie was shot, in front of a chain-link fence where friends, family and strangers built a memorial: purple votive candles, stuffed teddy bears, flags and posters that, before they blew away, told people to Unite and Stand and Fight.

During the hourlong event, King stood silently, a picture of Simmie as a teenager in one hand, a bouquet of flowers in the other.

A single tear rolled down her cheek. She never reached to brush it away.

Beyond all the politics, the violence, the speeches and the good intentions, Simmie’s story is about a mother losing a son.

King wears two rubber bracelets that read, ”Erase hate” and “Forever In My Heart.”

”All I do is cry these days. I try to stay busy, but I keep looking at the door as if he is going to come in,” King says, sitting outside her apartment in an old dining room chair, two days after the funeral. “But the door never opens.”

Simmie Lewis Williams Jr. was born Nov. 25, 1990, three days after Thanksgiving.

”I remember going to the Flagler dog track that day. I was already in labor,” King says, smiling for the first time. “He was my first boy and my hardest labor. I musta been in labor 10 or 11 hours.”

Simmie arrived at about 7 a.m., just as the nurses’ shift changed.

”He was always quiet. A good baby who would kinda keep to himself, and he smiled a lot, the same way he was before he died,” says Rosemae Barnes, Simmie’s aunt. “He was a loving boy.”

Williams’ father was released from prison about a month ago after serving nine years for attempted murder and other crimes.

Several years ago, Simmie told his mother he was gay.

”Of course a mother always knows. And he was very sure of his sexuality,” King says. “I just told him that he was my son, that I would never turn my back on him and that I loved him. Because I did. I do.”

Their close relationship grew into something else: friendship. King says Simmie confided he was being teased at school, that he was tired of being bullied.

She says she pulled him out of Hollywood Hills High School as a sophomore in 2006. Broward schools spokesman Keith Bromery declined to comment.

In recent months, Simmie had told his mother that he wanted to become a chef. On Feb. 21, King signed Simmie up for the Job Corps.

”He was so happy because he was going to finally be able to work toward becoming a cook,” King says.

The next day, he was dead. Simmie was buried in a soft-blue casket crowned with an arrangement of white carnations, ferns, baby’s breath and ribbons.

Several friends came to pay respects. A few came forward and talked of his struggles but also of his not wanting to burden others.

They talked about a quiet boy with a beautiful spirit who was trying to find his way. The eulogy, powerful and brief, was about being different, about tolerance and casting stones. About fighting back to save a neighborhood.

”There’s been a lot of things said about Simmie. He was a good person. If you were hungry, he would feed you. If you were sad, he would minister to you. If he were sad, he would not want to burden you,” says Henry Thomas, a friend. `He gave everybody a chance.”

Miami Herald staff writer Adam Beasley contributed to this report.

Fist Fighting At Polls In Texas

Change We Can Believe In

So today, I decided to take off of work because I have been working myself like a Hebrew Slave. This afternoon as I got into my car, I turned the radio on. Now, 99.9% of the time my radio station stays on the gospel music station but every now and then I will turn to the secular station’s to hear talk radio and this is what I found out today. People were fighting yesterday at the polls in Houston Texas. I have searched the Internet to see if there are any articles but as of yet, I have found none. The radio station was interviewing people who were at the polls. Parents had their children with them. They said that it was so chaotic and that there was no order when it came to the lines. Two women bumped into each other as they were about to cast there ballot and immediately started fighting, tearing and throwing each others weaves out. It took 13 people to restrain both of them. At this time, there were about 600 people waiting at this particular poll site to vote. Parents had to scoop their children up and started to flee for their own safety.

Lord have mercy, not only are people fighting at the polls, people are taunting each other at the workplace. The Democratic party is truly split down the middle. Half want Barak and the other half want Hillary. (I have chosen Barak for various reasons) but Lord, don’t fight me at work or when I get to the polls to vote. In all honesty, I have always thought from day one that Barak and Hillary were going to go on a combined ticket. One being the President and the other being the Vice President. The media is calling this the “Clinton/Obama Obama/Clinton Dream Ticket”. I love the idea and say lets do it! That would be killing two birds with one stone. You be the judge.

Now folks, stop fist fighting at WORK and at THE POLLS because Obama is not going to bail you out of jail nor give you a job when you loose it for fighting in the workplace. LORD HELP!

He Will Set The Captive Free ! – Bishop David L. Ellis

You cant tell me that GOD is not a GOOD GOD and that he will not “Set The Captive Free”! The testimony and dancing you will see in the above clip is only a shadow of the dancing that I plan on doing when my brothers get saved!

I have 2 brothers who are in prison one is 27 and the other is 21 and I cant wait for GOD to do the miraculous in their life. Watching this testimony (coupled with a Praise Break) I know without a shadow of a doubt that God can save my brothers in prison. The Judge gave my 2 brothers 70 years without any parole but I know the God that I serve will give them favor and set them free.

Long live the legacy of Bishop David L. Ellis and Greater Grace Temple of Detroit, MI for truly there is only ONE LORD, ONE FAITH and ONE BAPTISM! Highya bo sahta!
