Its Official! The Pope Of Pentecost Relocates to Dallas, Texas effective July 1st 2008!
After going back to the airline industry and having practically the world thrown at my fingertips (for the 5th time in a row) I’ve decided to relocate (and be based) out of Dallas Texas this July 1st 2008! WOW! Another great city to conquer. Some have said that I am just determined to live in every major city that exist. Others feel I am on a quest to find the next “happening” thing within the African American community. Well, when your single (meaning not married) and have no children you kinda can pick up and move where you want to. After much thought and prayer and asking for guidance from the Holy Ghost (which is the very Spirit of Christ Jesus Our Lord) I truly feel lead to make this move. With that in mind I leave you this thought “Only what you do for Christ will last……and since Jesus Christ is the Almighty God, we shall not be defeated!”

Today I had the pleasure while being in Tulsa, OK to visit Greater Grace Apostolic Temple in Tulsa, OK. First of all, can anything good even come out of Tulsa? After the Carlton Pearson scandal and Oral Roberts University scandal, you would think that there was nothing left in Tulsa but a pile of ashes were “use to be churches” exist. Well my dear friend, this is not so here in Tulsa. With a percentage of 15.47% African American population in the entire city and of course the mass exodus of African Americans from Higher Dimensions Church (Carlton Pearson) I can say that Greater Grace Apostolic (Affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World) has what it takes to magnify and Praise the Lord.
As you already know, I am into standards. Greater Grace does not have the outward standards that I am use to for an Apostolic Church but I did not care (THIS TIME that is lol). This beautiful edifice looks very new. The welcome committee was extremely friendly and as always, I am representing the Church of Our Lord every where I go (as I put it down on the visitors card). The Praise Team was phenomenaland energetic. The music ministry at this church was good, actually very good (for Tulsa OK). I mean, I really did not know what to expect because Tulsa is not on the map like that when it comes to good Apostolic Churches to go to . Hopefully with my site, people will see that truly Greater Grace is a “Church in the heart of the city with the city in our hearts” as their website boast. When your in the Tulsa Oklahoma area and you need a good Apostolic Church to go to, I suggest you stop by Greater Grace. THEY WILL CHURCH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (trust me, I did a jake and a quake and a few tongues in service today). The Word was very good too!

SYRACUSE — Services are scheduled this weekend for well known Syracuse Pastor and tent revivalist Bishop Robert W. Jones, who passed away last Wednesday. The founder of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ will be laid to rest Saturday. A homecoming service is scheduled for Sunday at the OnCenter at 11:00 a.m.
Bishop Jones is probably best known for his backyard and tent revivals that grew into the mega City Wide Crusade . The event in 2001 drew people from all denominations to hear his son, world-renowned televangelist Bishop Noel Jones of Los Angeles, and Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter’s House of Dallas.
Jones’s wife of 60 years Marjorie says,”he thought everybody wouldn’t come to church, so he wanted to take the message to them.” She says his dream started on Syracuse Street corners in the 1970’s and is spreading to cities across the country. City Wide Crusade has been held in Buffalo and Rochester and will return to Syracuse next year.
Bishop Jones is survived by his wife Marjorie, seven children, and one foster child. He is the father of actress/model Grace Jones and Bishop Noel Jones of the mega church City of Refuge in Los Angeles.
Bishop Robert W. Jones was 83.
Calling hours will be from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16 at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. The address is 347 Cortland Avenue in Syracuse.
Funeral services are at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17 at Bethany Baptist Church in Syracuse.
If your like me, your asking yourself “What more can happen in these last and evil days”. I want to go ahead and talk pretty candidly right now. Each day we all turn on the news and in some portion of the world, we find that some type of calamity has come. An Earthquake! A Tsunami! Now more recently a Cyclone (and this is not the cyclone roller coaster from Coney Island in New York City). We all cried over the 2000+ lives that were lost during the World Trade Center Attack yet 10,000 people were all killed at one time from last weeks Cyclone in Myanmar. In a China province, 8,500 people are confirmed dead from the earthquake that shook their nation. Finally in more recent events 15,500 people were killed in the Tsunami that hit Asia a few years ago. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE????????? Lets turn to the Word of God and see what God says about the last days.
Mark 13:7 says that there will be wars and rumors of wars. (Did you know that the last 100 years have seen more wars than any time since creation?) Matthew 24:7 says that there will be earthquakes in diverse places. (Did you know that earthquakes have increased in frequency and intensity some 2,000% since Israel returned to the land in 1948?) Luke 21:25-26 says that storms will become increasingly worse. (Did you know that there have been a record number of tropical storms, hurricanes and tornadoes beginning in the 1990’s. Sustained winds routinely top 200 miles per hour now). Luke 21:11 and Revelation 6:8 says famines and pestilence will be commonplace (Did you know that there have been more deaths from famine since 1950 than any other time in history. Old diseases are gaining the upper-hand and new diseases are appearing regularly that have no cure.) Finally 2 Timothy 3 clearly states that in the last days people will not want to hear sound doctrine. (Can we say TBN and The Word Network and all of these mega churches that have sprung up teaching a gospel of inspiration instead of the True Gospel of Holiness and keeping oneself clean and pure from the filth of this world. TURN ON MOST TV PREACHERS TODAY!
Saints, think it not strange when we see these things come about. Any day now, the Lord Jesus will be returning for his True Church! Will you be ready? Take comfort that those that have been baptised in Jesus Name and are filled with the Holy Ghost have a blessed hope which is the Rapture of the Church of God. Weeping may endure for a night saints, but joy comes in the morning. Hold your head up high. Yes gas prices are at $4.00 (as of today 5/14/2008 ) but don’t you worry, God will provide for his children. Keep living a holy life. Keep living a consecrated and sanctified life before the Lord and God promises He will give you a Crown of Life.

My heart is overjoyed and overwhelmed to see that the Neo-Seventh Day Adventist “Black” Church has finally caught a hold to a more exuberant way of preaching and singing. Growing up in the Northeastern Conference of Seventh Day Adventist I was born a 4th generation Adventist. My great grandmother, grandmother and mother are all SDA. (as you can see I ended up breaking this tradition by joining the Apostolic Church at the age of 14 and you know they put me straight in hell for doing that lol). I never wanted to leave the Adventist Church. When I found out the truthabout the Baptism in Jesus Name, the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues I brought my new doctrine back to my SDA Pastor who looked at me and laughed. I even played my tambourine a few times in church until they threw me out and told me to stop. Who would have thought 16 years later the Black Adventist Church would finally come around and start to embrace not only our Black heritage in music form (instead of the European way of worship) but they also are breaking out of that old school “non biblical” tradition that was once taught as pure unadulterated gospel. I am proud of you, the Black Adventist Church for embracing your new found way of worship (however, I need yall to start dancing and speaking in tongues and baptising in Jesus Name). That would be the icing on the cake. As long as there is LIFE, there is hope!

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
In my travels around the world (and particularly up and down the East Coast) I have visited a number of COOLJC Churches and there seems to be a epidemic within the organization on a local level. No longer are some pastors teaching what the organization stands for and believe. It is in this hope that if they deviate from the heritage and doctrinal traditions of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ that they will gain more members in their churches. Perhaps the pastor is tired of the “faithful few” and wants more people to join his church? I don’t know? What I do know is that a change has come on the local level and Pastors, Elders and Bishops alike are no longer teaching the principles of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ which our doctrine can clearly be found in the bible. Instead, churches seemingly feel that if they still Baptise in Jesus Name and have people filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues that thats all that matters now to them while everything else can just be thrown a way because of a few complaining members who no longer want to keep traditional bible based holiness standards.
The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ as an organization believes in a number of holiness standards that have not only been clearly set by our Chief Apostle Bishop William L. Bonner, these standards have been set by our Apostolic fathers such as Paul and Timothy and John. We have always been an organization that belives that women must cover their heads during worship and prayer with either a hat or a prayer veil (1 Corinthians 11:5-6) . We teach that a man and a woman is bound together in marriage and that only death dissolves their earthly and heavenly union permitting one or the other to get remarried (Matthew 5:32 and Romans 7:2-3) . We teach that it is an abomination for a man to wear women’s apparel and for a woman to wear mans apparel ( Deuteronomy 22:5) We teach that the only person that can be ordained as an Pastor/Bishop/Elder is reserved for men only and that woman are not called to pastor (1 Timothy 3:2) We teach our women to stay pure and holy and not to adorn themselves with makeup, jewelry or earrings (Genesis 35:1-5; Exodus 32:1; 1 Timothy 2:9 and 1 Peter 3) Yes, we still teach the baptism in Jesus Name and not the titles Father, Son and Holy ghost (Acts 2:38 ) and that when one is filled with the Holy Ghost they will speak in other tongues (Acts 2:4) as the external initial evidence that the Holy Ghost now abides in them which this consist of the new birth experience. We teach that worship should be exuberant as outlined in Psalm 150. We teach that we should not belong to any secret societies (Fraternities or Sororities) (2 Corinthians 6:14) These are some of the doctrines that make us distinct from other Apostolic Pentecostal churches yet now (because of brand new revelations) we seemingly want to give all of this teaching up to gain more members in our congregations and this should not be.
For years, we have had some major splits come through the church of our lord Jesus Christ and it is very apparent that instead of adding thou to it as our founder Bishop R.C. Lawson prompted us to do prior to his death, we are now changing the doctrine of Our Lord Jesus Christ to appease men and I truly believe God is not pleased. Ministries who once use to wear the chapel veils and no earrings faithfully have now snatched the veils off, put earrings in their ears and are all doing it claiming they have received new revelation from God. I beg to differ. What you’ve done is turned on TBN and The Word Network and see all these other churches bursting through the seams with 10 and 20 thousand members and you want to be just like them. Do you not realise that these churches are all preaching an inspirational gospel? A gospel that makes you feel good! A gospel that causes one to cry a lil, do a lil holy dance and leave the same way they came in. The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ should not want to follow this kind of teaching. Instead, pastors in the COOLJC are having secret meetings wanting to “change” the doctrine of our church so badly to the point where no one knows what we believe or stand for. It is our Apostolic heritage. It is MY Apostolic heritage that you are trying to destroy. Do you not realise that I left the Seventh Day Adventist Church to come over to the Apostolic Holiness way of life because of what we stood for? Because of our doctrine. Because of what we believe which comes straight from the bible (not just Lawson and Bonner) yet your out to destroy our organization by spewing falsehoods on the local and state level. When we come to the convention, no one can beat us in a Praise Break but after the dance, after the shout, after the tongues, after you go back home and put your pants and earrings back on and snatch your prayer veil off then what!
Lets look at the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Do you see any schisms going on in the Kingdom Hall? Do your research. You wont find any! They believe what they believe whether you agree or disagree with them and they know they are all going to Paradise (which is there form of heaven) and will give you a WATCHTOWER and AWAKE in a minute to try to convert you. Look at the Muslims, they may be crazy over there in Iraq shooting and killing up people and Farrakhan might still be preachings over here in the USA that white people are the devil and what have you, but you better believe every single Muslim will take their rug out no matter where they are on earth and pray 5 times a day toward Mecca. Look at the Seventh Day Adventist. You can now find Adventist who worship in silence or who worship with drums and tambourines in their church services now but you better believe that no Seventh Day Adventist is going to eat Pork or Shell Fish and all of them agree that Saturday is the true Sabbath and that those that go to church on Sunday will be going to a devils hell if they don’t stop worshipping the Beast and his image! There are over 17 million Jehovah’s Witnesses world wide. There are 15,433,470 Seventh Day Adventist worldwide. There are 1.4 billion Muslims worldwide. Guess how many chapel veil, tongue talking, no women preacher having, no double marriage having churches exist worldwide. The Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ only has 550+ churches worldwide. If you add all other Oneness Apostolic Churches up (both black and white) you get about 5 million oneness believers (2.3 million comes from the United Pentecostal Church Inc. and 1 Million comes from the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World). YOU DO THE MATH SAINTS! Yet we say we have the truth! Something is wrong here. (*all demographics were taken from www.adherents.com*)
Lets stop crunching numbers for just one second and get back to the matter at hand. Why change now? Why let the standard down now? What are you gaining by giving up your Apostolic Heritage? Its the same people that still go to the same church. You have no growth in your church yet you’ve gone to 2 and 3 church services (like the mega churches). You have taken off the chapel veils and wear earrings and pants now yet no internal change has happened within the lives of your congregants. When the Holy Ghost came in me, he gave me a very bold Spirit! I must stand on the Word of God saints and refuse to allow this Spirit to continue to permeate throughout the body. Its a Spirit of Disobedience to God’s Word and according to the Bible, the true believers are not to tolerate it. The real issue is not the prayer veil or earrings. The real issue is YOU wanting to be more and more like the WORLD and less like Jesus. Oh yeah, you’ve been down in His Name, you speak in tongues, but you still do the same things the world does and there is no difference EXTERNALLY between you and them.
I submit to you today to return back to your original doctrine to please GOD and not people like the Bible clearly says. The word DOCTRINE and STANDARD is not a bad word. It is a way of Life. The Life of Holiness that pleases the Lord. With that said, I pray that we can all go back to the original standard of Holiness that Jesus himself set forth through the Apostles and once again join ranks within the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ and be as ONE! Remember, don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger crying loud and sparing not (Isaiah 58:1) .
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Romans 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
According to the Book of Acts, the experience of the Pentecost was noticed by all in the large crowd, causing confusion and awe.
When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language…. Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? …Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?” Acts 2:6-12
Then the Apostle Peter, standing with the eleven other apostles, spoke to the crowd. He explained that these strange events had been predicted by the prophet Joel, and that Jesus’ resurrection from the dead and exaltation to heaven had been prophesied by David. Peter explained that these events confirmed David’s prophecy. Peter then exhorted his listeners to turn to Christ. When Peter was asked what men should do he responded by saying “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” About three thousand responded to Peter’s sermon and were baptized and were therefore “added” to the number of believers or the church.
I submit to you today my fellow readers, if you have not already experienced the power of Pentecost in your life, why not start today. Get baptised in His Name. Receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence if speaking in tongues. This is the New Testament plan of salvation for you my friend. Rejoice for Pentecost is FOR YOU dear friend. Its not just a dance, a shout, a jake and a quake, Pentecost is a way of life and this Life is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
Exodus 20:13 Says “Thou shalt not kill”. This is not only a spiritual rule/law that applies to just Christians, this is a moral law that was set forth by God himself that both Saints and Sinners are to follow and there are severe consequences for not following this law. In the world that we live in, society seemingly enjoys defying God’s rules and regulations and it appears as if it is getting worse and worse.
As I was laying in my bed here in Chicago, I began to watch the news and noticed that a new video game sequel has come out called Grand Theft Auto 4. For unknown reasons to man, I cannot understand why a video maker would come out with such a video game knowing that the day in age we live in people cannot distinguish between “fake” and “reality”! Here are some of the highlights of this video game that I find extremely appalling. Judge for yourself whether this is something that you would want your son, your husband, your boyfriend, your brother, or even your sister to partake in.
In Grand Theft Auto 4 you can practice drunk driving (In 2006, there were 13,470 fatalities in crashes involving an alcohol-impaireddriver (BAC of .08 or higher) – 32 percent of total traffic fatalities for the year.) You can also purchase a prostitute, have sex with her and then kill her in any fashion you would like (Average prostitution arrests include 70% females, 20% percent male prostitutes and 10% customers.(2) In the 1990’s some cities initiated client arrest programs which raised the percentage of client arrests. A disproportionate number of prostitutes arrested are women of color, and although a minority of prostitutes are women of color, a large majority of those sentenced to jail are women of color. 85-90% of those arrested work on the street though street work accounts for approximately 20% of prostitutes. (Figures vary from city to city.) Finally, people are litteraly mugging people all over the world for their very own copy of this game (In Leyland, Lancashire an 18-year-old man was mugged by two thieves who punched him to the ground and kicked him, shattering his nose and jaw before snatching the game and running away.) Again I ask, judge for yourself if this is a game that you would want your child to be playing for hours at a time.
We are commissioned by our Lord in “Proverbs 22:6 Train up a childin the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Parents, community leaders (including former and new presidential leaders) are all commissioned to train our children. How can we expect to have a better society with games like this staying on the shelf! How can we expect for the world to be a better place when little boys are running home to ditch their homework to practice murder on our very television screens! This should not be and someone has to speak out about this.
I myself do not have any children at the moment however I do have younger siblings ranging from ages 27 all the way to age 9 and I am going to do my best as the older brother and leader of my family to instill in my siblings the ways of holiness. Grand Theft Auto is nothing but a game of filth and anyone who dares to buy this game needs to truly re-evaluate there conscience. I beg of you in Jesus Name to rise to the occasion by getting this video game banned! It only takes “ONE VOICE”!
