Happy New Year From The Pope Of Pentecost 2009!

2009

God is such a good God. He has allowed us to complete yet another 366 days (since it was a leap year) and I am in awe at all of the things that have happened this year. I turned 30 and arthritis has not settled in yet (smile). I witnessed the election of the first African American president of the United States. I found a new church home and a great pastor that preaches the un-compromised Word of God while consistently stressing the Apostolic Doctrine. I moved to Atlanta (and yes, I plan on getting some roots and staying put this time around). I even hired 2 volunteer writers for the Pope Of Pentecost Blog. God is just a good God and for that I love Him.

This upcoming year, lets continue to focus on the soon coming of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Saints, He is soon to come. Will you be ready? Lets continue to get our houses in order for the rapture of the Church of God is drawing nigh. Remember, God is coming back for a Church without a spot or wrinkle. Will you be apart of this pure church? Can you say today that if the trumpets were to sound you’ll be ready to meet Him in the air? Bottom line, Saints we have to work while its day for when night cometh no man can work. Never mind those financial miracles that you are looking for. Never mind that house or car that you might need. God promises to supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory. Instead, be about the Fathers business this new year. Make it your point to witness EVERY DAY! Pray every day. Stay in the will of God and watch God show up and show out in your life.

Blessings to you and your family on this upcoming New Year.

Praise Him Anyhow!

Psalm 34:1
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

I am here to declare unto you my dear reader that GOD has everything in control. Do you hear what I say? GOD HAS EVERYTHING IN CONTROL! In a world of seemingly uncertainty when economics are at its lowest point, GOD STILL PROMISES TO TAKE CARE OF YOU! In utter darkness and misfortune, God still requires a YET PRAISE!

As I was reading Psalm 34:1, the Bible clearly tells us to BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES! It did not say some of the time, it did not say to bless Him when your gainfully employed, but it commands us to bless Him at ALL TIMES and let His praise continually be in your mouth. The mere fact that you have two eyes to read this blog and two hands to type is enough to Praise God. If God never does anything else, He literally has already done enough for allllll mankind to eternally praise Him! So what they fired you on your job and your unemployment has been contested. God promises that He will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory. So what you lost a love one. Its ok to cry and be sad for a season, however PRAISE GOD in the midst of your pain and watch God send you the peace that passeth all understanding. Repossession of your car? Foreclosed home? Is there ANYTHING TOO HARD for GOD??????? Absolutely positively no. NO! There is nothing to hard for God to solve.

As we are on the brink of a new year (2009) let us all continue to press toward the mark of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus Our Lord! Sure its easier said then done (especially when you come home and find that all of your things have been put out on the curb by the sheriff. Yeah the doctor told you that you only have months or weeks to live. Who’s report will YOU BELIEVE? We will believe the report of the Lord! Child of God, Praise Him anyhow. You hear me. PRAISE HIM ANYWAY! Through hard trials, will to live holy for the Lord. Through tribulations, will to serve the Lord. Through your tears, heartache and pain, SERVE THE LORD AND PRAISE HIM ANYHOW!

I pray to God that there was something that was said in this simple post tonight that has encouraged you to keep holding on, to keep pressing on, to NOT give up but to stay in the race. God hears your silent tears. God see’s your hurt. He knows what your going through because God (who is the Lord Jesus Christ) is 100% Human (so in essence he knows what pain literally feels like) yet being 100% GOD can take all the pain away and wipe all of those tears from your eyes. Be encouraged my brother and sister today, for weeping may endure for a night, but JOY comes in the morning.

Employment News 2009

Good news in tough times

While we keep getting bad news about the economy, here are two nuggets to remember:

1.    Minimum wage is going up…again.  Remember last summer when minimum wage rose 70 cents to $6.55? Well, it’s climbing another 70 cents this summer. Sure, that might amount to the spare change you find under the couch cushions—but add up the increase from a 40-hour work week, and it’s an annual jolt of $1456  to your bank account. Use our wage calculator to get an idea of what you could earn in your next job.

The FLSA establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and youth employment standards affecting employees in the private sector and in Federal, State, and local governments. Covered nonexempt workers are entitled to a minimum wage of not less than $6.55 per hour effective July 24, 2008; and $7.25 per hour effective July 24, 2009. Overtime pay at a rate not less than one and one-half times the regular rate of pay is required after 40 hours of work in a workweek.

2.    New year = new you.  Have you spent the last year toiling for an ungrateful boss? Or stuck in a dead-end job? The new year is the right time to start fresh and find a job you really enjoy. SnagAJob.com has over 100,000 full-time and part-time jobs just waiting for someone like you. Start your next job search on SnagAJob.com, the #1 source for hourly employment.

Into His Marvelous Light (A Bible Study Used To Learn More About The Apostolic Doctrine)

Into His Marvelous Light
A Bible Study

In Preparation

The following Bible study was prepared to explain the plan of salvation in a simple, one-lesson condensed form with a teacher to guide discussion, or by self-study. If desired, it can be divided into two parts by taking a short break between each of two 30-minutes sessions. A recommended place for a break is after the section on “Into the Gospels”.

Each participating student should have a copy of the study along with a Bible (preferably the King James Version) and a pen or pencil. As each scripture is read, the student is asked to become involved, sometimes by completing a “fill-in-the-blank”, or responding to a question. Additional comments and supplementary scripture references (designated throughout the text by numerals in parenthesis) are provided for further in-depth study at a later time.

May we also suggest that all participants take a moment to ask the Lord’s help in understanding His Word, as King David once did when he prayed, “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wonderous things out of thy law.” May God bless you as we travel together, “into His marvelous light”…

The Authors”…that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light…” 1 Peter 2:9

Introduction

When walking out of a dark room into the sunshine, light can be blinding. As our eyes become accustomed to the light, we can see more clearly and enjoy the scenery that surrounds us. Likewise, when we look into the light of the scriptures, the brightness of truth can sometimes hurt. However, as our spiritual eyesight becomes adjusted we can enjoy “walking in the light”.

This Bible study is designed to allow us to “walk” into the marvelous light of the Word of God. We will be journeying into the scriptures by imagining we are back in the days of Jesus and the Apostles, listening to them teach and preach the plan of salvation. In order to do this, we will be careful to “rightly divide the word of the truth” (2 Timothy 2:15) by concentrating on the highlights of the three main divisions of the New Testament in chronological order, including:

1. THE GOSPELS – covering the words and works of Jesus Christ

2. THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES – covering the actions and preaching of the Apostles

3. THE EPISTLES – covering the letters written by the Apostles to the churches they started in the Book of Acts

We believe the scriptures are divinely inspired and, “of no private interpretation”(2 Peter 1:20-21). Therefore, every effort has been made to present the pure Word of God without adding to, or taking away from its teachings (Deuteronomy 4:2, Proverbs 30:5-6). It is not our intention to diminish any personal relationship you may have with our Lord. neither do we desire to convince you of our own personal ideas or the creeds of any denomination. We simply desire to share the truth as it is written. Only by claiming the Bible as our sole authority can any of us be confident of our salvation, for it is the Word of God and not the traditions of men that will judge us all in the end.

Let us read 2 Timothy 3:15-16 as we begin our journey into the Word of God…

Into the Gospels

John 1:1-5 & 14
In the beginning, the __________ as God and become flesh. Jesus Christ is the Living Word of God.

John 1:11-13
If we believe in Him and receive Him, Jesus gives us power to become the sons of __________ by a supernatural birth. He spoke further about this new birth on night to a ruler of the Jews…

John 3:1-8
The Lord told Nicodemus that everyone who wanted to see or enter into the Kingdom of god, must be born again of ____________ and the ____________.

John 3:16-21
Jesus also told Nicodemus that whosoever ________________ in Him should have eternal life. jesus mentioned two seemingly different requirements for salvation, one is being born again, the other is believing. Yet, this is not a contradiction. The next scripture explains how believing is related to experiencing the birth of the Spirit…

John 7:38-39
Here, we discover that if we believe on Him (according to the Word), we will receive the ___________. We find that scriptural belief is more than just a change in the way we think. It also results in a scriptural experience.

John 12:35-36 & 42-43
Today just as in Jesus’ day, many believe on Him. But, they will not _________ Him for fear of what others will do or say.

John 12:44-48
In response to their fearfulness, Jesus warns that His ____________ will judge us, so we must be careful not to reject it. Rather, we should believe and obey it…no matter what others say or do!

John 17:17-20
In Jesus’ prayer for His disciples, just before His crucifixion, He said God’s Word is ___________. He also prayed for us; and for all those who would believe on Him through the Apostles’ word.

To find out what the Apostles’ word was to be, let us read what Jesus told them to proclaim. The setting of the following great commission scripture in Luke 24:45-49 is just after the Lord’s death, burial and resurrection…and just before His ascension into heaven.

Luke 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Luke 24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

DID THE APOSTLES PREACH THE MESSAGE JESUS COMMANDED THEM TO PROCLAIM?

HOW WAS THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER FULFILLED? Let us continue our journey into the Word of God by seeing what was preached and what happened at Jerusalem…

Into The Acts of the Apostles

Acts 1:3-5
As we enter the book of Acts, we discover almost immediately that the promise of the Father is the baptism of the _______________ ______________.

Acts 2:1-17
When the Apostles were at Jerusalem, they, along with many others, were joyously filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other ___________ as the Spirit gave the utterance (ability to speak). The amazed onlookers from many nations who heard them speaking with tongues asked, “What meaneth this?” Then peter explained the promised coming of the Spirit and went on to preach Christ and the original apostolic plan of salvation.

Acts 2:36-39
When the people who heard Peter’s words believed that Jesus Christ was their Lord and Savior, they were sorry for their sins and asked Peter and the Apostles what they should do. Peter replied by preaching the message Jesus commanded to be preached in Luke 24:45-49. In light of this, consider the three elements of the Plan of Salvation Peter preached in verse 38:

1. REPENTANCE
2. REMISSION OF SINS THROUGH BAPTISM IN JESUS’ NAME.
3. RECEIVING THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST

NOTICE: Acts 2:38 is the fulfillment of the two “new birth” requirements Jesus mentioned in John 3:5 that were necessary to enter the Kingdom of God! Water birth=baptism in the name of Jesus Christ! Spirit birth=infilling of the Holy Ghost!

Now, let’s look at some more examples of people being born again of water and the Spirit as the word jesus gave His apostles continued to be preached throughout the Book of Acts…

Phillip Preaching To The Samaritans in Acts 8

NOTICE: Some people say when they experienced joy, or when they believed in Jesus, or when they were baptized, they were automatically filled with the Holy Ghost. But what does the Word say?

Acts 8:5-8….Did they have great joy? yes____ no_____
verse 12...Did they believe in Jesus Christ yes_____ no____
verse 14-17Were they baptized in His name? yes_____ no_____
Did they receive the Holy Ghost as a separate and distinct experience? yes______ no_____

Peter Preaching To The Gentiles in Acts 10

NOTICE: Some people say being religious is enough, or that the Spirit-baptism evidenced by tongues was only for the Day of Pentecost. If the Bible says this is true, then it is true. But if the Word shows through Cornelius’ experience that this is not true….then it is not.

Acts 10:1-2 Was Cornelius a religious man? Yes___ No___
vs. 5-6 Did God have more for him to do? Yes___ No___
vs 44-46 Did they receive the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues after the Pentecost? Yes___ No__
vs. 47-48 Did they still have to be baptized in Jesus’ name? Yes___ No___

Paul Preaching To John’s Disciples in Acts 19

NOTICE: Many people who are believers have not even heard about the Holy Ghost that is promised to them. Also, some people say it is not necessary to be baprized or re-baptized.(If you were baptized by John the Baptist, would you think it would be necessary to be re-baptized using a different formula? If the Bible indicates it does not matter, then it does not matter. But…what is the Bible shows us it DOES matter?

Acts 19:1-2 They were believers, but had they heard of, or received the Holy Ghost? Yes___ No___

vs. 3-5 Did those baptized by John the Baptist have to be re-baptized in Jesus’ Name? Yes___ No___

vs. 6 Was receiving the Holy Ghost accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues? Yes___ No___

We have found that the Apostles preached the following salvation message:

…The life of Christ and His death, burial and resurrection
…Repentance toward God and belief in Jesus Christ
…Baptism in water by immersion in Jesus’ Name
…Receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (which was accompanied
by the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues)

Now, let us read what the Apostles had to say about the message of salvation they proclaimed in the Book of Acts. We can do this by reading the epistles (letters) they wrote to their converts.

As we read the Epistles, we will notice how strongly the Apostles felt about the gospel (good news) of salvation. This is not because they were being judgemental. It is because they knew the Word Jesus had given them to proclaim was going to judge all men.

What did Peter say?
“Ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth…being born again…by the word of God…and this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you”. (1 Peter 1:22-25)

Obedience to God’s Word purifies our souls!

Peter asked a Question:
“…What shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”(1 Peter 4:17-18)

Paul gave the Answer:
“The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power. (II Thes. 1:7-9)

It is eternally immiportant to obey the gospel! What did Paul say?
“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9)

There is only one gospel! What did James say?
“…Receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, (deveiving your own selves). For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass; For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.” (James 1:21-24)

The Word is able to save our souls!JAMES TELLS US THAT IF WE SEE SOMETHING WE NEED TO DO, AS WE LOOK INTO THE “MIRROR OF THE WORD”, WE SHOULD DO IT. LET US NOW CONSIDER WHAT WE WILL DO WITH WHAT WE HAVE HEARD…

DO YOU BELIEVE the Word of God is true and will judge us?

DO YOU BELIEVE Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior?

DO YOU BELIEVE it is necessary to repent by determining to turn from sin and giving your life to God?

DO YOU BELIEVE water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is the biblical way to be baptized?

DO YOU BELIEVE the baptism of the Holy Ghost is for you today, and when you receive it you will speak in other tongues, just as they did in the bible?

IF YOU BELIEVE THESE THINGS, PRAY RIGHT NOW, ASKING GOD TO ALLOW YOU TO EXPERIENCE ALL THAT HE HAS FOR YOU!

Supplemental Study Scriptures

  1. Matthew 7:13-24
NOTE:God’s warning regarding false prophets and the importance of being a doer and not just a hearer of the Word.
  2. Matthew 16:15-19
NOTE: Peter was given the “keys of the kingdom” because of his revelation of who Jesus Christ was.
  3. Other “Great Commission” scriptures
NOTE: In Matthew 28:18-20 the word “name” is singular in this command to baptize. The Apostles obeyed this command when they baptized only in the name of Jesus, and did not use the titles mentioned here. (See Acts 4:12). Mark 16:15-18. The importance of water baptism and the signs following believers.
  4. Matthew 16:15-19
NOTE: Peter, who was given the “keys of the kingdom”, uses them to open the “kingdom door” by preaching the original apostolic message of salvation for the first time.
  5. Acts 8:35-39
NOTE: Philip must have mentioned baptism when he preached Jesus to the Eunuch, because the Eunuch asked to be baptzed in water. The greek word for baptize is “bapto”, which literally means “to cover whally with fluid, to dip”,(se also Romans 6:3-4).
  6. Acts 10:34-43
NOTE: Peter preached the life and lordship of Jesus Christ as well as His death, burial and resurrection.
  7. I Peter 3:20-21
NOTE: According to Peter, baptism is an essential part of the plan of salvation.

We encourage you to read through the Gospels, Acts and Epistles in detail…and continue to walk,”…Into His marvelous light”!

Sunday Rhema: God With Us (The Oneness Of God)

Matthew 1:22-23: Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

The Christmas story (as we now call it) is a story that tells of the Oneness of God. God the Father literally came down from heaven, implanted Himself into the Virgin Mary, then literally operated as 100% human while being 100% divine. Oh what a glorious Saviour we serve. Today we had CRAZY church. People were delivered, set free by the powers of darkness, souls were baptised in Jesus Name and received the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. Our Pastor preached a wonderful message entitled God With Us. When I tell you the Power of God was in this place today, I’ll never be the same.

The Spirit of the Lord immediately told me that I needed to run home and get on my blog to share some scriptures with the Saints (and friends) concerning the Oneness of God, that being, Jesus IS God. You can use these scriptures to prove to anyone who ask if there really is a trinity or is there just 1 Lord. Get your bibles out and be prepared to take notes as we expeditiously break down what the Word of God says concerning Jesus being 100% Human and 100% God.

John 10:30:
I and my Father are one.

This scripture alone warranted the death of Jesus Christ. Why?  Because in verse 31 of John Chapter 10, the Jews picked up stones to stone Jesus because they heard with their own mouths the declaration that Jesus was God and according to the Jewish Law, anyone who claimed to be God (and Jewish) was worthy of death (in this case being stoned). Going down to verse 33. the Jewish people consider Jesus to just be mere man and thought it was blashphemy for someone to claim that they were God. So, there you have it, Jesus Himself claimed to be God (not “a” god but God Almighty).

John 14:8-11:
Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

Here Jesus tells Philip that anyone who has seen Him has seen the Father. Jesus Himself declares once again that He is in the Father and that the Father was in Him. Again, proof that Jesus is GOD. Then Jesus says that the words that he was speaking was not of his own (flesh) but of the Father that was in Him (divinity). So you see, Jesus Christ having a dual nature could speak as a Human, and then he could speak (in this case) as God. So in essence, Jesus is showing you that he is 100% Human and 100% God.

1 Timothy 3:16:
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

The Word cant get any clearer. If there is one scripture that needs to be used when witnessing to someone who does not believe in the Oneness of God, this is an excellent scripture to use. GOD was manifested in flesh. Who else preached to the Gentiles? JESUS! Who else was received up into glory? JESUS! Again, Jesus is GOD!

Isaiah 44:6:
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

To say that there is a trinity is 100% false. The old testament declared that there is NO OTHER GOD! So God in 3 persons blessed trinity is false, cant be found in scripture and this scripture proves to us that there is no other GOD. Just 1 and not 3.

Isaiah 9:6:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

This scripture is the prophecy of Jesus coming to earth (his birth). It clearly says that he will be The Mighty God! The everlasting Father. So again, it is 100% safe to say and assume that Jesus is God (The Mighty God) and that He also is the father (everlasting Father).

John 1:14:
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We know God’s word existed before Jesus (the human) ever came to earth. Its clear in this scripture that since the Word became flesh. Who else became flesh other than Jesus! Jesus IS the Word. The Glory of the One and Only. (NIV translation)

Matthew 1:22-23:
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Finally, we get to today’s sermon (God with Us). The Virgin Mary brings forth a child, this child is a son (meaning a boy so in essence God is not both male and female but only male) and they called his name Emmanuel, which means God is with us. There you have it (YES LORD). God comes down to earth, plants himself in Mary, is born into the world (just like you and I) yet being God He was sinless, yet being man he took on the title son of God, yet being God he could be on earth and heaven all at the same time (since we all know that God is omnipresent yet being man he felt pain, yet being God took away all pain, yet being man ate and drank and went to the bathroom like you and I, yet being God could forgive sin even the woman who was caught in adultery. JESUS IS GOD!

THANK GOD FOR THE ONENESS!

Pants Saggin? Pull Your Pants Up BLACK MAN (& white and latino’s too)!

As I was driving home today I could not help but notice a young brother walking with his pants sagging so far down to the ground that he literally had to walk with one hand holding his pants up? News flash! If your a size 30 in the waist there is no need for you to be shopping in the “big boys” section of your local Dr. Jays (for those that are in NYC) or some other men’s department/store. You want a new years resolution? Pull your pants up and put a belt around that waist.

I have 2 younger brothers who are in prison (literally) and I am most sure they wish NOW they had a belt to hold their pants up. Instead, now that they have to answer to a prison warden, they are forced to wear no belt and well, their pants are ultimately sagging. Now, my brothers are “very” attractive young men (as if that matters when someone lust) but I can only imagine them hiding their “goods” from those other men who would want to do gawd awful things to them.

Ok, so I’m rambling (well not really). I am just so tired of brothers complaining that they cant get jobs, that their wives and or girlfriends are leaving them, and that the only thing left for them to do is sell drugs and be a gang banger. I am tired of turning on the news each and every day and seeing someone who is working hard for their money get robbed at the local convenience store, bank or cell phone retail store. Granted, this is a generalization, but who do you usually see when they catch the criminal? Some dude with his pants down, hair uncombed and looking like “who done it and ran”. There got to be a better way to live. There IS a better way to live. Its a way called living holy for the Lord.

The bible says in Proverbs 14:12 that “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Gang banging, blunt smoking, pants sagging, 40 oz drinking is NOT the way to go. You may THINK that this is the “right way” but dear brothers, that way will lead you to death. What if I were to tell you that there is Someone who died for you. Someone that will set you free from the bondage of sin and shame. Someone who loves you just as you are both outwardly and inwardly. What if I were to tell you that this Someone wants to change your insides as well as your outer appearance and give you brand new life, hope and joy that is unspeakable. Well, His Name is Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth in the form of man. So in essence, He was 100% human and 100% God/Divine. Yup, that’s right, Jesus Himself has a dual nature. As man, He knows just how you feel. As God, He can forgive you of all your sins both past, present and even future ones. All that He ask you to do is follow Him. You ask me how? Well, its very simple. You just have to be born again. Mmm Hmmm. Thats right. BORN AGAIN.

John 3:5 says and I quote ”Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

All you have to do is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, get baptised in water in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and then you can receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives you utterance. And guess what? YOUR SAVED! Don’t be fooled into thinking that just going to church will save you or that shaking the preachers hand and joining a church will save you. No sir! You must be born of the Water and Spirit in order to enter into the kingdom of God (by the way, I’ll tell you a secret, the road wont be easy but I can guarantee you that you wont be arrested for slinging drugs, you wont steal anymore, you wont commit fornication (sex before marriage) or adultery (sex with someone that’s not your wife), you wont curse anymore, you wont lie anymore, you wont drink alcohol which can and will impair your thoughts and behavior, you wont even dress with your pants sagging anymore. Why? Because you will be a brand new creature in Christ and allllllllllllll (and I mean all) old things would have passed away from your former lifestyle.

So yeah, the title of this blog was kinda catchy. Yeah, it caused you to read what another brother had to say, but more importantly this blog was designed just for YOU to make it into the kingdom of God. Try Christ TODAY the Acts 2:38 way!

Invisible Representation

Reposted with permission by New Century Pastor

Greetings in that Majestic and all Powerful name of Jesus Christ. It is because of him that we have been able to endure another year. His grace & mercy have accompanied us daily and he has breathed the fresh air of life into our lungs. Thank You JESUS. Christ has done so much for the world, he was Born to Die. He had a death sentence before he could utter a sentence. He loved the world so much, that he was willing to die, What kind of love is this, that a man would lay down his life for a friend?? The bible declares in Hebrews that he saw the joy that was before him and despised the shame, and he PATIENTLY endured the cross(Hebrews 12:2). He has done great things for us and to make it personal, ME. And with him doing all that for mankind, what do we do for him? I dare you to take a step back for a moment, and examine what it is that you do for the Lord?

Hopefully you are helping the Lord build his kingdom. Whatever the case maybe, are you doing your reasonable service? Not sure what your reasonable service is, check out Romans 12:1,2. We are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, HOLY and acceptable unto the Lord. That is our reasonable service, to be Holy. Paul takes it a bit further in verse 2 and beseeching the brethren to be renewed by the transforming of your mind. In 2008, there is a confusion of what our reasonable service is. If asked what their service was, most Christians would respond with going to church and being a good person. Those answers are correct, never stop going to church(Hebrews 10:25) and conduct yourself like a child of God(Romans 12). But those answers are not enough, we must take it a step further and be a disciple for Jesus Christ. We ought to be telling someone about the goodness of the Lord, telling them how he saves. Witnessing should be a top priority for us. But before we try to witness, make sure we are representing Christ correctly. Our actions, behavior and conversations should make the individual an invisible one. How so?? When others look upon you, do they see Jesus? or do they see a church attender? Those of us who are saved should have an invisible representation where the unsaved can see Jesus through us. They should not see carnality, but should see the spirit of Christ moving through us.

The challenge is set, be an invisible representer of the Lord so someone can see just how good God is and ask “What must I do to be saved?”

Gov. Palin’s home Church Damaged By Arson

Gov. Sarah Palin’s home church was badly damaged by arson, leading the governor to apologize if the fire was connected to “undeserved negative attention” from her failed campaign as the Republican vice presidential nominee.

Damage to the Wasilla Bible Church was estimated at $1 million, authorities said Saturday. No one was injured in the fire, which was set Friday night while a handful of people, including two children, were inside, according to Central Mat-Su Fire Chief James Steele.

He said the blaze was being investigated as an arson but didn’t know of any recent threats to the church. Authorities didn’t know whether Palin’s connection to the church was relevant to the fire, Steele said.

“It’s hard to say at this point. Everything is just speculation,” he said. “We have no information on intent or motive.”

Steele would not comment on the means used to set the fire.

Pastor Larry Kroon declined to say whether the church had received any recent threats.

“There are so many variables,” he said. “I don’t want to comment in that direction.”

Palin, who was not at the church at the time of the fire, stopped by Saturday. Her spokesman, Bill McAllister, said in a statement that Palin told an assistant pastor she was sorry if the fire was connected to the “undeserved negative attention” the church has received since she became the vice presidential candidate Aug. 29.

“Whatever the motives of the arsonist, the governor has faith in the scriptural passage that what was intended for evil will in some way be used for good,” McAllister said.

The 1,000-member evangelical church was the subject of intense scrutiny after Palin was named John McCain’s running mate. Early in Palin’s campaign, the church was criticized for promoting in a Sunday bulletin a Focus on the Family “Love Won Out Conference” in Anchorage. The conference promised to “help men and women dissatisfied with living homosexually understand that same-sex attractions can be overcome.”

The fire was set at the entrance of the church and moved inward as a small group of women were working on crafts, Steele said. The group was alerted to the blaze by a fire alarm.

Outside temperatures were minus 20 as firefighters battled the blaze.

Steele said a multi-agency task force was being assembled to investigate the fire.

Wasilla, the governor’s hometown, is 40 miles north of Anchorage.

FAITH!

Have you ever been in a place in your relationship with God that you have FAITH yet you still tend to worry. You’ve prayed about the situation and it seems as if your prayer has fallen on deaf ears. You’ve fasted, you’ve believed, you’ve trusted, you called your prayer partner and both you and him/her prayed about a certain situation yet it still seems like nothing is going the way that you want it to? Well, your not alone because that’s exactly where I personally am tonight! I write this blog knowing that some how God is going to deliver me out of this financial crisis that seemingly has arisen.

You know, I am extremely thankful for the roof over my head, the car that I drive, the clothes on my back and even the crazy job that I have. But it’s just not enough to be thankful in words. You have to be thankful in deeds as well (rather, in your actions). The spirit of complaining has come over me for some unknown reason to where I am so upset with my financial status in life. I am annoyed with the job that I have, I want a better car, I want a completely furnished house and well, the list goes on and on. Lets not talk about the crazy things family can put you through. Yet through it all God has proven himself to be faithful. Funny, God believes in me, why wont I believe and trust in Him? Good questions huh?

The Living Bible says in Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong! Be courageous! Do not be afraid of them! For the Lord your God will be with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you.

Yes Lord. That’s a powerful text. The Word of God promises that he will be with me. He will never fail me. He will never forsake me. Man that’s powerful. 1 Peter 5:7 is even more powerful.

Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.

Huh??????? You mean God literally wants all of our cares and worries because He is always thinking about me and watching me and is concerned about me? So wait! Even though I don’t hear Him, even though I cant feel Him (right now) I still have a guarantee according to His Word that He (God) is thinking about me and is concerned about me (Oooo, I feel the load getting a little bit lighter now). All I have to do is give Him all my worries for he cares for me. Thank you Jesus!

With that said, I know I’m not the only one in cyberland that is saved, sanctified, Holy Ghost Filled, fire baptised, been down in Jesus Name who feels like this. Tonight, I am going to encourage myself with the Words of the Lord. I must HAVE FAITH IN GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Join me tonight (10:49pm eastern) in building up your faith in the Lord by trusting Him and standing on every promise that He gives us. Remember, He wont give you more than you can bare. Just HAVE FAITH!
