Obama calls first 100 days tense but fruitful

Associated Press Writer

Marking his symbolic 100th day in office, President Barack Obama told Midwesterners: “I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made but I’m not satisfied.”

“I’m confident with the future but I’m not content with the present,” the president added at a town-hall style event in a St. Louis suburb.

Later, Obama was heading back to the capital to press that same message to the rest of the country during a prime time news conference.

Even as it downplayed the significance of the milestone, White House staged the two high-profile events to promote Obama’s accomplishments in his first months in office while pressing for his big-ticket agenda.

“We’ve begun to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off” and “we’re working to remake America,” Obama said.

Still, the president added: “We’ve got a lot of work to do.”

He countered critics who said he’s taking on too much, as he works to turn around the recession while revamping energy, education and health care in the United States.

“The changes we made are the changes we promised,” Obama said. “We’re doing what we said we’d do.”

Molestation In The Church

boyprotect.jpg stop child abuse image by PastorRodman

Saints of God, its time to make the devil out to be the liar that he is. We have a crisis going on in “the church”. Its so bad to the point where people no longer know where to turn, who to turn to or frankly what to say concerning this taboo topic in most churches. Its called MOLESTATION!

There is physical and spiritual molestation going on in the House of God and now more than ever do we the true saints of the Most High God need to band together and do something about it. Its time to stop being afraid and sweeping things under the rug for fear that if exposed you will be ostracized or ridiculed by the other “faithful followers” of the church or religious organization you are a part of.

Today’s message of hope is for all I repeat ALL denominations across the board. We all know that this site is Apostolic, however, there are hurting people both young and old who are being wounded and afflicted by the spirit of molestation that is running rampant in the church. I for one am so tired of reading the news paper and seeing yet another clergyman taking the precious virginity of young boys and girls. I am utterly disgusted at the spiritual abuse so called pastors are doing to their congregations. Trust me, I know I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Did you know that last year there was a murder of a Pastor because he was molesting a teenager (I refuse to post the link because I dont want anyone to think I am picking on any one denomination…a simple google will tell you the whole story). This poor boy could not take it anymore and felt the only way to end this horrific act was to kill the Pastor. After the Pastor was dead and gone, more people started to come out and say that the pastor did the same thing to them too. Did you also know that there were (and still are) music ministers (and sunday school teachers) that are taking advantage of young minds. Telling them to do all kinds of ungodly acts yet the same worship leader is lifting their DIRTY hands to an HOLY AND CLEAN GOD! What in the world is going on? Parents, don’t be so blind to the signs. Kids are getting teased in school over so called sexual preferences, these same kids are committing suicide because they cant take the ridicule anymore. WHERE IS THE CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought the church was suppose to be a refuge. A hospital for the sin sick soul. The sad thing is that the very doctors and nurses in the church are diseased and are passing their sickness on to their congregations through mind control (molestation) physical abuse (molestation) and manipulation of things God never told them to manipulate.

Jump up and turn around 3 times and slap your neighbor high five and shake your neighbors hand like your gonna shake it off! Sound familiar? These and other cliches can be heard Sunday in and Sunday out in various congregations around the globe (mmmm hmmm, even in foreign countries they are slapping their neighbor high five). God is gonna deliver you. God is gonna set you free! All you gotta do is give me your tithe, offering and YOUR BODY and watch ME the servant of the Lord work a miracle in your life. Huh???????????? Is that even biblical? Was that the example Jesus left on earth for us leaders to pattern ourselves after? I THINK NOT!

It saddens me to hear the cries of children, teens and adults that are so broken by ministries who have molested them. I cant sit by and not say anything about this anymore. So, this is what I’ve decided to do. I’ve decided to help free some of you out there from the bondage of leaders who have a strong hold on your life. In the next few paragraphs, I am going to give you Godly counsel as well as secular advice.

Lets turn to the Word of God and see what the qualifications are for being a Pastor. Now I warn you, if your Pastor is not living up to these biblical standards, you might want to seek a new earthly shepherd. Saints, this is not my words but the Word Of God. This is not judging (so don’t start writing me saying that I am judging someone). There is a Holy job description that is mandated for all Pastors and if they cannot follow the manuscript of heaven, they DON’T deserve to be Pastors. PLANE AND SIMPLE!

1 Timothy 3:1-7 says

1This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

 3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

 4One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

6Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

7Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

I am serving pink slips today on every Pastor today who is not following the rules described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7. I recognize that false prophets are infiltrating the Church by the dozens however I am serving notice to you that your “services” are no longer needed. Again, if you cant follow God’s Holy manuscript, hang your clergy collar up and preachers robe (tambourines too) and sit down some where and get DELIVERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I personally have a 10 year old sister and now a niece and I refuse to have them attending a church where their little minds are going to be tainted by Satan’s tricks! No sir! The good news is, as long as there is life, there is hope. You have a chance to turn from your wicked evil and perverse ways and seek Godly (as well as secular) counsel. No more will you call people into your study and touch places your hands should not touch. No more will you manipulate people into giving you money so you can spend it on your mistress. No longer are you going to pass the communicable disease that you have around your congregation. Stop the mind control in JESUS NAME! If you are a victim of molestation from the pulpit, sound the alarm and tell somebody who is Godly and sensitive to the spirit. Don’t sit there and take this junk that leadership is dishing out to you.

Finally on a secular note, it is 100% a crime for you the molester to do the things that you are doing (which can full prosecution to the fullest extent of the law). If you have been a victim of molestation, please contact the AACAP (American Academy of Child Adolescent Psychiatry) which can assist you with counseling, meetings and get you the help you need. You can also contact SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused By Priest). This is not just a catholic organization, they have chapters for all majors denominations. This organization is willing to help you get the help you need. If you are the molester, Godly sorrow coupled with true repentance will pave the way to freedom from the chains of sin and shame.

It is my earnest and sincere prayer that someone reads this (or stumbles across this site) and gets true deliverance through our One God who’s Name is Jesus Christ. Acts 2:38 is a start, but we have to move on to the fruit of the Spirit if we plane on making it into God’s kingdom. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Galatians 5:22)

I thank God he has lead me to a church that takes a stand for holiness and righteousness and for a Pastor that stays on his face before God admonishing his congregants practical principles of holiness in everything we say and do and I pray you find that same type of Pastor as well.

Swine Flu: 5 Things To Know About This Outbreak!

Is this a flu pandemic?

The influenza virus is constantly mutating. That’s why we can’t get full immunity to the flu, the way we can to diseases like chicken pox, because there are multiple strains of the flu virus and they change from year to year. However, even though the virus makes us sick, our immune systems can usually muster enough of a response so that the flu is rarely fatal for healthy people.

But every once in awhile, the virus shifts its genetic structure so much that our immune systems offer no protection whatsoever. (This usually happens when a flu virus found in animals – like the avian flu still circulating in Asia – swaps genes with other viruses in a process called reassortment, and jumps to human beings.) A flu pandemic occurs when a new flu virus emerges for which humans have little or no immunity and then spreads easily from person to person around the world. In the 20th century we had two mild flu pandemics, in 1968 and 1957, and the severe “Spanish flu” pandemic of 1918, which killed an estimated 40 to 50 million people worldwide.

The WHO has the responsibility of declaring when a new flu pandemic is underway, and to simplify the process, the U.N. body has established six pandemic phases. Thanks to H5N1 avian flu, which has killed 257 people since 2003 but doesn’t spread very well from one human to another, we’re currently at phase 3. If the WHO upgraded that status to phase 4, which is marked by a new virus that begins to pass easily enough from person to person that we can detect community-sized outbreaks, such a move would effectively mean that we’ve got a pandemic on our hands.

The H1N1 swine flu virus has already been identified as a new virus, with genes from human and avian flus as well as the swine variety. And since it is apparently causing large-scale outbreaks in Mexico, along with separate confirmed cases in the U.S. and Canada and suspected cases in other countries, it would seem that we’ve already met the criteria for phase 4. But though an emergency committee met on April 25 to evaluate the situation, the WHO hasn’t made the pandemic declaration yet. Keiji Fukuda, the WHO’s interim assistant director-general for health, security and environment, said on Sunday that its experts “would like a little bit more information and a little bit more time to consider this.” The committee is set to meet again by April 28 at the latest.

As health officials have repeatedly emphasized, with good reason, the swine flu situation is evolving rapidly, and more lab tests are needed to ascertain exactly what is going on in Mexico and elsewhere. “We want to make sure we’re on solid ground,” said Fukuda, a highly respected former CDC official and flu expert.

What will happen if this outbreak gets classified as a pandemic?

Moving the world to pandemic phase 4 would be the signal for serious containment actions to be taken on the national and international level. Given that these actions would have major implications for the global economy, not to mention the effects of the public fear that would ensue, there is concern that the WHO may be considering politics along with science. “What the WHO did makes no sense,” says Osterholm. “In a potential pandemic, you need to have the WHO be beyond question, and (April 25) was not a good day for them.”

Of course, declaring a pandemic isn’t a decision that should be taken lightly. For the WHO, phase 4 might trigger an attempt to keep the virus from spreading by instituting strict quarantines and blanketing infected areas with antivirals. But we appear to have missed the opportunity to contain the disease at its source since the virus is already crossing borders with ease. “We cannot stop this at the border,” said Anne Schuchat, the CDC’s interim director for science and public health. “We don’t think that we can quench this in Mexico if it’s in many communities now.”

That would leave the WHO and individual countries to fall back on damage control, using antivirals and old-fashioned infection control – like closing schools, limiting public gatherings and even restricting travel – to slow the spread of the virus. But such efforts would likely inflict serious damage on an already faltering global economy – and the truth is, we don’t know how well those methods will work.

Why have the U.S. cases been so much milder than the ones in Mexico?

This is the question that has health officials from Geneva to Washington puzzled. In Mexico, swine flu has caused severe respiratory disease in a number of patients – and even more worryingly, has killed the sort of young and healthy people who can normally shrug off the flu. (Fueling such concerns is the fact that similar age groups died in unusually high numbers during the 1918 pandemic.) Yet the cases in the U.S. have all been mild and likely wouldn’t have even garnered much attention if doctors hadn’t begun actively looking for swine flu in recent days. “What we’re seeing in this country so far is not anywhere near the severity of what we’re hearing about in Mexico,” said the CDC’s Besser. “We need to understand that.”

Some of the difference may be due to the fact that Mexico has apparently been grappling with swine flu for weeks longer than the U.S. As doctors across the U.S. begin checking patients with respiratory symptoms for swine flu, CDC officials expect to see more severe cases in the U.S. as well – and as better epidemiological work is done in Mexico, we’ll probably hear about more mild cases there too. Right now, however, the true severity of the H1N1 swine flu virus is still an open question, whose answer could change over time. The 1918 Spanish flu pandemic began with a fairly mild wave of infections in the spring, but the virus returned a few months later in a far more virulent form. That could happen with the current swine flu as well. “It’s quite possible for this virus to evolve,” said Fukuda. “When viruses evolve, clearly they can become more dangerous to people.”

How ready is the U.S. – and the world – to respond to a flu pandemic?

In some ways, the world is better prepared for a flu pandemic today than it has ever been. Thanks to concerns over H5N1 avian flu, the WHO, the U.S. and countries around the world have stockpiled millions of doses of antivirals that can help fight swine flu as well as other strains of influenza. The U.S. has a detailed pandemic preparation plan that was drafted under former President George W. Bush. Many other countries have similar plans. SARS and bird flu have given international health officials useful practice runs for dealing with a real pandemic. We can identify new viruses faster than ever before, and we have life-saving technologies – like artificial respirators and antivirals – that weren’t available back in 1918. “I believe that the world is much, much better prepared than we have ever been for dealing with this kind of situation,” said Fukuda.

At the same time, the very nature of globalization puts us at greater risk. International air travel means that infections can spread very quickly. And while the WHO can prepare a new swine flu vaccine strain in fairly short order, we still use a laborious, decades-old process to manufacture vaccines, meaning it would take months before the pharmaceutical industry could produce its full capacity of doses – and even then, there wouldn’t be enough for everyone on the planet. The U.S. could be particularly vulnerable; only one plant, in Stillwater, Penn., makes flu vaccine in America. In a pandemic, that could produce some ugly political debates. “Do you really think the E.U. is going to release pandemic vaccine to the U.S. when its own people need it?” asks Osterholm.

Indeed, the greatest risk from a pandemic might not turn out to be from the swine flu virus itself – especially if it ends up being relatively mild – but what Osterholm calls “collateral damage” if governments respond to the emergency by instituting border controls and disrupting world trade. Not only would the global recession worsen – a 2008 World Bank report estimated that a severe pandemic could reduce the world’s GDP by 4.8% – but we depend on international trade now for countless necessities, from generic medicines to surgical gloves. The just-in-time production systems embraced by companies like Wal-Mart – where inventories are kept as low as possible to cut waste and boost profit – mean that we don’t have stockpiles of most things. Supply chains for food, medicines and even the coal that generates half our electricity are easily disruptable, with potentially catastrophic results. Though we’ll likely hear calls to close the border with Mexico, Osterholm points out that a key component used in artificial respirators comes from Mexico. “We are more vulnerable to a pandemic now than at any other time over the past 100 years,” he says. “We can’t depend on ourselves.”

So how scared should we be?

That depends on whom you ask. Officials at the CDC and the WHO have emphasized that while the swine flu situation is serious, they’re responding with an abundance of precautions. Even Osterholm, who has been highly critical of the U.S. government’s long-term failures to better prepare for a pandemic, gives the CDC a 9 out of 10 for its response so far. Outside of Mexico, the swine flu hasn’t looked too serious yet – unlike during the SARS outbreaks of 2003, when an entirely new virus with no obvious treatment took the world by surprise. In the U.S., the normal flu season is winding down, which should make it easier for public-health officials to pick out swine flu cases from run-of-the-mill respiratory disease. And there are simple things that people can do to protect themselves, like practicing better hygiene (wash hands frequently and cover mouth and nose when sneezing) and staying away from public places or traveling if they feel sick. “There’s a role for everyone to play when an outbreak is ongoing,” said Besser.

But the truth is that every outbreak is unpredictable, and there’s a lot we don’t know yet about the new swine flu. There hasn’t been a flu pandemic for more than a generation, and there hasn’t been a truly virulent pandemic since long before the arrival of mass air transit. We’re in terra incognito here. Panic would be counterproductive – especially if it results in knee-jerk reactions like closing international borders, which would only complicate the public-health response. But neither should we downplay our very real vulnerabilities. As Napolitano put it: “This will be a marathon, not a sprint.” Be prepared.

COGIC Moves Convention

*Perhaps you will vote to change the baptisimal formula next???? As long as there is life there is hope! COGIC, ya gotta go down in Jesus Name (and its sad some of your churches have to secreatly baptise in the Acts 2:38 formula of Lord Jesus Christ). But hey, thats just my two cents, on to the article which was posted in the latest Charisma Magazine.*

Church of God in Christ leaders voted Tuesday to move their annual convention to St. Louis after hosting it in Memphis, Tenn., for more than 100 years.

“Memphis is our home,” said Bishop Charles E. Blake, leader of the 6 million-member denomination. “We love this city, but we have been offered a better package that is more cost-effective for the membership of our church.”

People have speculated for years that COGIC would relocate. But church leaders said discounts on hotel rates, convention facilities located very close to the hotels and a convention space large enough to accommodate all the delegates in one location ultimately made St. Louis more attractive.

The change will come in 2010, when delegates from the nation’s largest Pentecostal denomination mark the 103 anniversary. COGIC’s international offices will remain in Memphis, where founder C.H. Mason held the first Holy Convocation in August 1907.

Today, some 50,000 churchgoers gather each November for the event, filling area hotels and patronizing local businesses. COGIC officials estimate the Holy Convocation contributes more than $35 million to the Memphis economy.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported that St. Louis has 38,000 hotel rooms, compared 21,000 in Memphis’ Shelby County. And the St. Louis convention center has 502,000 square feet while Memphis’ Cook Convention Center has only 300,000-square-feet.

Remember this song? This song was out when I was just in 9th grade. Being born and raised in New York City, I had the privilege of growing up around Timothy Wright. Lord knows we sang this song in the school gospel chorus over and over again (for those of you that went to LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts in New York City yall know what I am talking about). We sure are going to miss Timothy Wright but the legacy lives on. Rest on my dear brother until the Resurrection. And remember, ya cant crown Him till I get there!

Timothy Wright, famed NY gospel singer, dies at 61

By The Associated Press

6:25 AM CDT, April 24, 2009

NEW YORK

The Rev. Timothy Wright, the Grammy-nominated gospel singer and composer known for his up-tempo praise songs and powerful mass choir sound, has died. He was 61.

Wright, who was seriously injured in a car crash while returning from Detroit that killed his wife and grandson, died early Thursday at the Bronx Veterans Hospital, music agent Will Bogle said.

Timothy Wright was the pastor at Grace Tabernacle Christian Center Church of God in Christ, located in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. He released more than a dozen gospel recordings, writing many of the songs. His latest album, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,” came out in 2007.

In 1994, his record “Come Thou Almighty King,” with the New York Fellowship Mass Choir, made the Billboard Top 20 charts for gospel albums and was nominated for a Grammy for best traditional soul gospel album.

He got another nomination in that category in 1999 for “Been There Done That,” recorded with the B/J Mass Choir and featuring Myrna Summers.

“Jesus, Jesus, Jesus” features the New York Fellowship Mass Choir. The title track, written by Wright and his wife and recorded live at a Church of God in Christ convocation, expresses the plight of a woman displaced during Hurricane Katrina: She encourages herself and others by calling the name of Jesus. Among the other songs on the album was “You Must Come In At the Door.”

According to the book “Uncloudy Days: The Gospel Encyclopedia,” by Bil Carpenter, the Brooklyn-born Wright began playing piano for his local church at age 12 and also began composing at a young age.

By his early 20s, he was music director at Brooklyn’s Washington Temple Church of God in Christ.

He began writing songs for such fellow musicians as Mattie Moss Clark and the Rev. Isaac Douglas, according to Carpenter’s book, and in 1976 formed the Timothy Wright Concert Choir. Among the choir’s albums were “Who’s on the Lord’s Side?” and “Do You Know the Light?”

Wright was critically injured July 4 in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Loganton, Pa. Another car was going the wrong way when it struck Wright’s car.

His wife, Betty Wright, 58, was killed in the crash, and their 14-year-old grandson, D.J. Wright, died later at a hospital.

The driver of the wrong-way car, John Pick, also was killed, while a passenger in a third car was injured.

The Wrights were returning from a Church of God in Christ conference in Detroit, said Leroy Johnson, a trustee at Grace Tabernacle.

Aimee Michael – Confession in Easter crash that killed 5

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

A woman was arrested and charged Thursday morning after confessing to being the driver who caused an Easter Day accident on Camp Creek Parkway that killed five people, Fulton County police said.

Aimee Michael, 22, was charged with five counts of homicide by vehicle, one count of failure to maintain lane and one count of serious injury by vehicle, hit and run, according to Fulton police detective Melissa Parker. Police scheduled a press conference for 10 a.m. Thursday. A bond hearing was scheduled for 11 a.m.

Michael was led handcuffed from the Fulton County police major crimes unit off Fulton Industrial Boulevard, where she was being questioned, around 5:15 a.m. Police had been questioning Michael and two other women in an investigation of the April 12 hit-and-run wreck. Authorities say they found the BMW they believe was involved in the crash.

Police have not released the names of the other two women who were questioned for several hours overnight, but state voting records list a second woman at the same address as Michael.

An anonymous tip led police Wednesday to a home in the 3900 block of Ailey Avenue in South Fulton County, where the BMW was parked in the driveway. They later searched the home and confiscated the vehicle.

At 6:45 p.m., a plum-colored Ford Expedition pulled into the Walden Park subdivision. When the car went into the garage, three to four Fulton County police officers rushed in as a woman got out of the SUV. A Fulton County SWAT officer then closed the garage door.

Shortly after 7, police left the residence with three women – one in her 20s, another apparently in her 50s, and a third older woman – who police said had agreed to be questioned.

None of the women was handcuffed but were led to police cars that carried them away.

The women were taken to the Fulton County police major crimes unit. At about 3:30 a.m. Thursday two of the women were released, while police continued to question Michael.

“I’m shocked,” said neighbor Chandra Adams. “The neighborhood is banding together to find out what’s going on in our neighborhood.”

Adams said police first arrived at the Walden Park neighborhood around 10 a.m.

SWAT arrived at 3 p.m. and surrounded the home, police spokeswoman Det. Melissa Parker said.

“There were other identifying factors that allowed us to enter the house,” Parker said.

Police went into the home, but found no one there, she said.

The car was impounded for further investigation.

On Easter Sunday, Robert and Delisia Carter, as well as the couple’s newborn son, Ethan Blake, and Delisia Carter’s 9-year-old daughter, Kayla, died in the chain-reaction crash near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Police said 43-year-old Tracy Johnson of Atlanta survived the accident in another vehicle, but the impact killed her 6-year-old daughter, Morgan. Tracy Johnson is now listed in satisfactory condition at Grady Hospital.

The Carters’ Mercedes and the BMW are believed to have collided on Camp Creek Parkway between Butner Road and Old Fairburn Road at about 1:45 p.m. Both vehicles crossed the median, and the BMW left the scene.

The Mercedes, however, slammed head-on into a Volkswagen driven by Johnson.

Chandra Adams, who lives in the same neighborhood as Michael, said when SWAT officers surrounded the home, she saw the three women pull into the neighborhood and quickly make a U-turn at the sight of police.

Delisia Carter’s sister Tanisha Robertson was on the scene Wednesday, saying she had been in Atlanta from her California home ever since the wreck.

Robertson said she lamented having never met Delisia’s youngest child.

“A brand new baby I never got to see is gone,” Robertson said.

UPDATE:

Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

An Atlanta school teacher was charged Wednesday with tampering with evidence that implicated her daughter in a crash that killed five people.

Fulton County Police issued citations to Sheila Michael for tampering with evidence and obstruction, police said.

Michael was not booked in the jail, but ordered to appear in Fulton County Magistrate Court on May 6, said her attorney Renee Rockwell.

A grand jury is also scheduled to review Michael’s case on May 6, Rockwell said.

“Since she’s not a flight risk, they gave her a citation and she will have to go in and make a bond,” she said. “I suspect she will probably get indicted.”

Last week, her daughter, Aimee Michael was charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, hit and run, and other charges. Police say the 22-year-old confessed to driving the BMW that caused the Easter crash that killed five people and driving off.

Sheila Michael, 52, is on unpaid leave from her job as a second grade teacher at Cascade Elementary School, Atlanta Public Schools spokesman Joe Manguno said.

Michael was previously on paid personal leave, which she requested. However, she ran out of leave and asked to be not paid, Manguno said.

The school system’s attorneys will review Michael’s case before taking any action on her employment, Manguno said.

The teacher voluntarily met with Fulton detectives Wednesday afternoon. Her attorney is now meeting with Scott Smith, Aimee Michael’s attorney.

Police have indicated that Sheila Michael knew about the crash several days after the incident and helped arrange for the BMW to be repaired.

Detectives also agreed not to charge Aimee Michael’s grandmother, who was questioned by police last week, nor the people who repaired the BMW, Rockwell said Wednesday.

Apostolic Doctrine: One God Who’s Name Is Jesus!

one

There is only ONE GOD: the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and of all mankind. This One God, the I AM, is manifested (revealed) to mankind as FATHER (Creator), SON (Savior)(1 Jn.5:20), and HOLY GHOST (indwelling Spirit) (Rom. 8:11). God is a Spirit (John 4:24), the Eternal One, the Creator of all things, and of all men. Thus making Him their Father (through creation) (Malachi 2:10). The LORD is the FIRST and the LAST, and beside Him there is no God (Isa. 44:6).

There was no GOD FORMED before him, neither shall there be after Him (Isa. 43:10). Jesus is the SON of God according to the flesh (Rom. l:3). Jesus is the very God Himself according to the Spirit (Matt. 1:18-23). Jesus is the Christ (Matt. 16:16). Jesus is the Creator of all things (Col. 1:16, 17; Jn.1:10; Isa.40:28). Jesus is God with us (Matt. 1:23). Jesus is God made flesh (John 1:1-14). Jesus is God manifested in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16). Jesus is He which was, which is, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY (Rev. 1:8; Isa. 9:6). To this, Jesus Himself testified when He said: “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father” (John 14:7-11).

Since it took shedding of blood for the remission (forgiveness) of the sins of the world (Heb. 9:22), God as the Father, being a Spirit, had no blood to shed; so He prepared a body of flesh and blood (Heb. 10:5), that He might fulfill the prophecy of Isa.43:11, “Beside ME there is no SAVIOUR”. Thus, when Jesus was born into the world, he was Jehovah our Saviour (that is the meaning of the name Jesus), the one God of the universe, the Lord God Almighty, born as a man. This caused the angels to sing, “For there is born this day in the city of David, a SAVIOUR, which is CHRIST THE LORD” (Luke 2:11).

The Holy Ghost is not the third person in the Godhead! The Holy Ghost is the Spirit, Jesus Christ coming to dwell in the hearts and lives of those who receive him. That is why, when speaking of the Spirit, Jesus said “I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you” (John 14:16-26; Rom 8:9; 2 Cor.13:5). So, THERE ARE NOT THREE PERSONS IN GOD, but three manifestations of the ONE GOD. God is the Saviour, and his saving name is now revealed to men as JESUS. Therefore JESUS is the name of God. SALVATION consists of deliverance from sin through the blood of Christ. This is accomplished by REPENTANCE from sin, WATER BAPTISM IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, and receiving the BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, and the continuance of a godly life (Acts 2:26-41).

Bullying Is Leading To Adolescent Suicide 2 Weeks In A Row

Imagine being in the 5th or 6th grade again. Entering into school and almost immediately taunts are hurled your way. Imagine going through this on a daily basis wondering who to tell. You finally get the nerve to tell and not only does the name calling intensify but you are now labeled a snitch or a tattle tale. You cant concentrate during the school day, y0u begin to have sleepless nights wishing everyone would just leave you alone. Your earnest desire as an 11 year old is just to be like everyone else. NORMAL! Yet either because of the way you talk or dress or act, you’ve been labeled another name that your parent has not even endorsed. You’ve been told by children your age that you are GAY! A SISSY! A HOMO! (and probably other names which would cause all of heaven and earth to scream out in sheer horror). This is what happened to Jaheem Herrera who was 11 years old here in the Atlanta area. A few weeks earlier, an almost identical report was found in Massachusetts by a boy named Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover. Both stories unfortunately end in SUICIDE (death by hanging).

I wanted to paint this graphic imagery for you because I want you to feel the pain of what’s going on in our school systems. I want you to get angry (but not sin). I want you to be aware that there are children being bullied right before your very eyes and are crying on the inside and outside for our help. If they don’t get help, seemingly the spirit of suicide creeps in and the child ends up taking their own life. How would you feel if you bore a son or daughter for 9 months and 11 years later they killed themselves over something that YOU as a parent could have possibly prevented? You would not have felt too good huh? We need to sit down and ask ourselves, “Why does our society put up with bullies . . . bullies that grow into adults and probably will do the same thing in the work place….bullies that go on to get married and bully their husband or wife. This should not be and something needs to be done about it now.

Parents, if you have school age children my first suggestion to you is to raise your children in the admonition and fear of the Lord Jesus Christ who is the GREATEST POWER! Teach your children the ways of Christ starting at an early age. When trials and tribulations come knocking at your young child’s door, they will be able to pray earnestly and seek God’s face for themselves because their mother and or father has taught them to put their trust in God alone and not to entertain thoughts that are contrary to God’s Word. Teach your children the power of the blood of Jesus. That it washes and cleanses and makes you whole. Teach them that the Name of Jesus will make the very gates of hell shudder at its mentioning of “that Name”. I’m a living witness that the blood of Jesus is just not for us adults, but its for children as well. I know this because I’ve used the Name of Jesus when I was growing up in heathenistic New York City public schools. My Christian background caused me not to curse, not to cut school, not to smoke in the school bathrooms etc etc.

I truly believe that there is no work schedule to difficult in a parents life to where they cant see signs of your own child’s demise. When they come home from school (even if you have to wake them up in the middle of the night) I want you to create an atmosphere in your household that will allow your child to tell you any and everything that he or she is going through when they go to school. If you see that your child is being bullied go right up to the school and confront the problem head on (that’s what my mother and aunt use to do……those sisters did not play back in the day…..I even remember my father going out the door and finding the local bully on our street we grew up in and told him what he was NOT going to do to his child). Talk with the teachers. If they ignore you, PULL YOUR CHILD OUT OF THAT SCHOOL and don’t allow them to go through the taunts. Would you stay someplace that someone is consistently hitting you over and over again? NO! You’d go the other way. Love your child enough to shield them and protect them from those that might cause physical or mental harm to your children. If it means you have to get up an hour early and drive your child clear across town to school then that’s what you have to do (or else your child might end up like Carl or Jaheem).

Let us all pray for these families in their hour of loss. Pray that the Holy Ghost gives them comfort. Saints, we are living in the last days, its time we press on in our victory march and continue to “drive ole satan away“.
