Our Pastor taught the Adult Sunday School class and he preached to us the Word of God during morning worship. The topic was “The Assignment Has Not Changed!”. He preached on Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”
Pastor advised us that it is our assignment to GO and preach the Gospel. He then broke down what the Gospel is. The Gospel has been the same since biblical days. Gospel means “good news” and the Gospel that was preached since the inception of the New Testament Church was the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. No other Gospel has been preached except this powerful truth. We find that by preaching the Gospel, we preach on the Death by explaining how one needs to repent of the sins and die to their flesh. It is only by repenting that we can experience the burial of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are buried with Him through baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission (or forgiveness) of our sins. Then we are to teach on the resurrection of Christ. That is rising out of the watery graves of Baptism with the sure promise that you can have the same power on the inside of you that the resurrected Christ has. This power can only come by receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. THATS THE GOSPEL!!!!!!!!!
Your Bible says in Galatians 1:8 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” I didn’t make that up. Thats what the WORD says. Saints, if you hear ANY (and I mean ANY) other Gospel being preached that is not found in the Word (specifically the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus and the power that we can receive through His precious shed blood) you are to ignore it. Its FALSE . No where in scripture did it say the Gospel was getting rich, playing and dancing to the latest shout music, having cars and houses and land. Thats NOT the gospel. The gospel is plain and simple. The death of Jesus Christ (in return we are to repent from sin and die to the flesh), burial of Jesus Christ (we are to be buried with Jesus by being baptised in Jesus Name for the remission of our sins) and Resurrection of Jesus Christ (we are to receive the power of the resurrected Christ indwelling on the inside of us with the evidence of speaking in tongues). After we receive the Gospel for ourselves, we allllll are to go and witness to convert many souls to the Gospel of Truth as commanded in Matthew 28:19 knowing that the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost all have One name and that name is Jesus Christ
Be blessed this week, I’m going to eat and get ready to go back to prayer and Sunday night evangelistic services (yes we still have Sunday night church EVERY Sunday night and the house is packed).
Spread the word, the assignment has not changed!
