Saints, Beware Of Child Molesters!!!! (In response to the Jerry Sandusky scandal)

Saints, it is important that you protect your children. For the majority, 8 or more hours out of a day, children are away from their parents. The parent is at work, and the children are at school. The time spent away from the parent is critical to a child’s up bringing. Parent tells child not to talk to strangers, listen in school, don’t hang with the wrong crowd, stay out of chat rooms on the internet and so forth and so on. Then we have single parents. 1 mother or 1 father with 1 or more children to raise. Raising a child gets somewhat harder in this scenario. To add to all the foolishness, Satan desires to steal, kill, and destroy your child. He causes the flesh of men (and women) to want to harm children by molesting them, beating them, mentally abusing them, and all of this is done out of your presence. What in the world are we expected to do when comments like these from Jerry Sandusky are being made by those that have allegedly molested children:

“I could say that I have done some of those things. I have horsed around with kids. I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them and I have touched their legs without intent of sexual contact,” said Jerry Sandusky.” www.msnbc.com

Here is what God says in His Word concerning children.

Proverbs 22:6 Point your kids in the right direction— when they’re old they won’t be lost. (The Message Bible)

Deuteronomy 6:7-9 Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates. (The Message Bible)

That scripture in Deuteronomy is powerful! I mean POWERFUL!!!!!!!! I personally believe that when you do what the bible tells us to do concerning raising your children, if harm (lets just say from a molester) comes near them, that child will instantly know to call on the Name of Jesus to deliver them out of the circumstance. Even if the persons says to them “shut up or I’ll kill you and your mother” if you train that child to not listen to the voice of the enemy but to listen to and call on the Name of Jesus in the time of distress, I believe all heaven will come to rescue that child from the hands of the enemy. I’m just silly enough to believe that just as angels ministered to Jesus when  his flesh was weakened from not eating, the same can take place for YOUR CHILD. But parent, it starts with you. The same tricks are being played by the enemy, but this time with a modern twist. If you fight the demonic realm with “thus saith the Lord of host” I cant help but to believe God is going to come to your rescue and do the miraculous. Train them. Train them. TRAIN THEM!!!!!!! (it also helps to tell them to put a little run in their feet too if you know what I mean….Im from the old school, kicking and scratching is still in order all while calling on Jesus…hey just a little humour…).

It appears that child molesters don’t touch the strong kids. They tend to pick on the weaker ones because they feel they can over power them. Hey, this is just my observation. When a child is weak, then are they made strong in the Holy Ghost. This is bible and goes for children and adults. I firmly believe if we pour the strength of God in our children, the enemy is going to be forced to look elsewhere when attempting to harm. Every child should be able to scream out in the time of need “No weapon that’s formed against me shall prosper”. If your child believes in Santa, Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy and will fight you tooth and nail if you tell them that they DONT exist, certainly we can cause them to believe in Jesus, who actually exist. And when you call on the Name of Jesus, that child should know Jesus, will come to their rescue.

Be blessed in Jesus Name.

Clarification Update: I firmly believe that there are strong children and there are weak children. All children are not cut from the same cloth an NO CHILD regardless of them being strong or not, should ever be molested, or accept molestation as something they should endure by an individual. Let me give you an example. When given multiple banks to steal from, do bank robbers tend to steal from banks that have impenetrable security? No! They pick out the ones which they feel are easy to get away with. Just the other day, a child was being kidnapped I think at Wal-Mart, when the kidnapper picked her up, she screamed, and kicked, and went ballistic on the man. Do you know what that man did??? He put her down and ran the other way. This happened because the parent trained their child to do this. This current event proves my point, if we can be more proactive in telling our children how to react when harm comes to them COUPLED WITH scripture to combat the enemy with, it is my biblical belief that the outcome will be different.

This is my personal belief and my apologies to those who have been molested in times past. This article was not meant to make you feel low due to your hurtful circumstance.

Lets watch the video below of what happens when a child is trained by their parent on how to respond to kidnappers and such. I believe EVERY CHILD has this ability. If you can learn 2+2=4 then you can also learn how to NOT ACCEPT when someone wants to do harm to you.

I’d like to personally thank everyone for coming to the East Coast Conference 2011. It was the most WORD BASED APOSTOLIC EVENT that is going to take us out of 2011 and set us all up for winning souls straight into 2012. We were all empowered this week to evangelize and make disciples throughout the ends of the earth. The fundamental teaching of Acts 2:38 is central for all who desire to be not only a Christian in name, but a Christian who then turns around and helps “add to the church daily, such that would be saved”. Safe traveling mercy to all.

Special shout out to the two young brothers from Way Of The Cross Greensboro NC who visited Friday night (something tells me you read this blog, if so, make sure you email me personally or leave a message via the site).

I’m going to bed yall, got a long day Saturday full of painting and moving furniture.

Bless you in Jesus Name.

Tune in tonight @ 7:30pm Eastern through Friday for the East Coast Conference of the World Wide Pentecostal Fellowship held at First Pentecotal Church of Durham NC.

I am deeply saddened to announce the passing of Bishop Kenneth F. Haney, Bishop of Christian Life Center UPCI in Stockton, CA. Here is a direct quote from the church’s website:

“The Lord giveth  & the Lord taketh away! Blessed be the name of the Lord!” Jesus &  His angels came for Bishop Haney this morning! He went very peacefully!!! In  God’s army a 5 star General has gone home! God never makes a mistake! He heard  our prayers! “Thy Kingdom come! Thy will be done!” God’s will has  been done! The doctor just came in & said to me. “My mother use to  tell me, “When you live a good life, you will have a peaceful passing!’ He  said, “This is the first peaceful passing I’ve seen!” We love all of  you & thank you for your prayers!!! Viewing & funeral  arrangements are forthcoming!

The homegoing celebration information has now been posted above. Please continue to check back here or at the church website http://www.clministry.com/ for any changes. Pray for Sister Joy Haney, the children, and his church family in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

What In The World Is Going On With The “Church” World???

Did you know the average person who claims they go to church, really does not go to a true church? They might worship in an edifice built to look like a house of God but in all honesty, the activity that goes on within the four walls of the edifice are total opposite to the True Church of Jesus Christ. How can we tell the difference between the True Church and the False Church? What about people who say they go to church but still lie, steal, gamble, fornicate, murder, backbite, and casino hop? Are they saved??? The church of today will say YES they are saved so long as they have simply accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Is acceptance enough? I mean, the bible does say if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Christ rose from the dead you shall be saved. Notice the words in bold. The scripture does not say you ARE saved, it says you SHALL BE (future tense) saved. So this leads us to believe that there is way more than just believing in order to have TRUE salvation.

One of our loyal readers asked a very important question to me. I wont share the identity nor the church they go to but I will show you my response to the reader:

First thing first, if a Pastor is NOT preaching the gospel which is the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 1:16), on a consistent basis and telling the congregation to follow John 3:5 and Acts 2:38 every service, that church is not preaching the truth. We die to our flesh by repenting of our sins. We are buried with Christ through Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are resurrected to new life when we come out of the water and receive the promised gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance. If a person is in a church that does not preach this, one would need to leave and find a church that teaches the biblical form of salvation.

Remember, the reason of the existence of the church is to save souls. Spread the gospel (good news). Prepare for the coming of the Lord. If the correct plan of salvation is not being taught, there is no reason for that particular church to be in existence and in all honesty, those that attend that particular church are just getting their emotions fed. Its called the “feel good gospel”. That type of gospel has no salvation, it does not offend or step on peoples toes, it does not prick any one’s heart to cause true repentance. That type of church causes sinners oto stay in sin and and does not require sanctification (Leviticus 20:7). In these churches, light and darkness mix together (even though the bible says what fellowship does light have with dark 2 Corinthians 6:14). In other words, all 66 books of the bible are optional and basically a “cafeteria religion” is being promoted from the pulpit to the pew. I’ll take this, I’ll take this, but no thank you to that, no thank you to thank, and oh, I’ll take half of that.

I don’t blame sinners for going to the club, casino, and living it up in sin. That’s what sinners are suppose to do. The people that are seen in clubs, casinos, and living ungodly lives during the week when they are not in church are NOT SAVED! There is no way you can claim salvation and still enjoy the pleasures of your flesh and the world and not even attempt to change. Everyone is to blame. The pastor is to blame for not teaching the truth to the congregation, and the blind dumb sheep are to blame for not picking up the Word and read it on their own. Ultimately everyone is going to have to individualy give an account for their deeds. So guess who goes to hell? Both the Pastor and his entire unsaved congregation. The bible says NONE BUT THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL SEE GOD (Matthew 5:8)! The bible says for without holiness no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). The bible says be ye holy for I am holy (1 Peter 1:16).  If a person does unholy and unrighteous deeds, we can clearly deduce from scripture that they will be left behind when the rapture comes and ultimately will go straight to hell where both body and soul will be tormented day and night (Revelation 21:8). Whats worse is, for modern day Christianity, Hell doesn’t exist. We know this because no one preaches it. When is the last time you heard Eddie Long, TD Jakes, Joel Osteen teach on Hell? The only time you hear the word hell in the pulpit now is with silly cliches ”After all the hell I’ve been through this week, I still have joy”. “I told the devil to go back to hell”. Bishop so and so preached the hell outta that sermon”. You see, Pastors preach what the congregations want to hear, sinners remain sinners while faithfully attending a church that does not cause them to live a life of holiness, and ultimately, when the trumpet sounds and the dead in Christ rise, entire congregations are going to be left behind.  Dont believe me? Read matthew 7:13-14Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.  What does that tell you. The MAJORITY are on a path leading to destruction and only A FEW are headed toward eternal life. Thats what your bible says.

Play with God if you want. My eternal soul is too precious to be played with. Why sit under fables and riddles (Titus 1:13-14)? Why preach a lie and cause people to this its truth (Romans 1:25)? Dear Saint, I have some good news, REAL GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!! As long as there is life there is hope. God is such a patient God that He desires all should come unto repentance and that none should be lost (2 Peter 3:9). The Holy Ghost is real, He is moving about the earth wanting people to come. After the Spirit calls, God promises to fill you with His Spirit so that you can live a victorious life through the only saving name, Lord Jesus Christ. Its time for people to be leaders and not followers. If no one else wants to be saved, make up in your mind that you will be saved if it kills you!

When people ask why “so and so” is going to the club and singing on the choir, share with them that according to the bible, you have been commanded to come out from amongst them and be separate saith the Lord and that my advise would be to do the same if you plan on going to heaven (2 Corinthians 6:17). When someone cant believe their eyes when “so and so” is in the casino, advise the person that according to the holy bible, it is written for me to be a good steward of my finances in tithe and offering and I plan on being faithful to Gods money by making sure I don’t take gambles with the worlds way of “getting rich” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Tell them that your God promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory so there is no reason for anyone to trust in the worlds system of doubling or tripling money (Philipians 4:19).

That said, I pray that if your Pastor is out of the will of God and not preaching The Truth (or any Pastor for that matter) you need to find a bible believing truth preaching church. Never mind religious organizations, never mind denominations, if they are teaching the Gospel (death, burial, resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, that salvation is only found in Jesus who is God almighty, and that the only way to have biblical salvation is being born of the water and spirit) then that’s the church you or anyone for that matter needs to be a part of.

I’m passionate about The Truth and I’m even more passionate about bringing sinners to The Truth. I pray that you receive this email in Love in the mighty name of the One True Living God, Lord Jesus Christ who is God Almighty wrapped in flesh.

Time out! Its time to call a “time out” and really level with ourselves. We are mere weeks away from the book of revelation being thrown wide open and “the real” end time events start to happen. Yeah, wars and rumours of war, famine, pestilence, earthquakes are all part of end time events. But you havent seen nothing yet when the anti-Christ final appears IN FLESH and attempts to cause the whole world to worship him. Guess what, the majority is going to worship the beast and his image. Why am I going to play with your soul and not tell you the truth? Whywould anyone want someone to stop promoting true holiness and separation from the world. Stay blinded if you want, you’ll find yourself at the throne of the anti-christ. Instead, try saying to yourself and to God “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”! Dont be fooled people, stop following after these strange gods, become a part of the true church and pick up your cross and follow Jesus.

DALLAS – October 29, 2011. Bishop T.D. Jakes, the senior pastor of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas, has been challenged about his Apostolic beliefs in the Oneness of God during a brief, yet heated, Twitter debate on Friday — not the first time the megachurch pastor and accomplished author has been questioned about his doctrine regarding the Godhead.

This recent discussion appears to have started when Jakes tweeted to his followers Friday the following message: “God brings us together so that He can dwell in the midst of our unity, the church must lift up a standard of unity.”

Another Twitter user with the handle “Defend Orthodoxy” then tweeted: “Bishop Jakes: ‘…the church must lift up a standard of unity.’ // One reason why Modalism is a destructive heresy… misleading people.”

The Texas minister also began fielding accusations from Ken Silva, pastor of Connecticut River Baptist Church in Claremont, N.H. Silva is critical of teachings by various influential members in the Christian community, such as Jakes, Rob Bell and Rick Warren, to name a few.

Silva, an ordained Southern Baptist Conference minister, also questioned Jakes by tweeting to The Potter’s House pastor Friday: “Bishop Jakes Which God are you talking about? The Triune God of the Bible, or the ficticious god of modalism? Which one do you believe in?”

It was then that a minor debate ensued between Jakes and Silva regarding his beliefs about the Godhead, with Jakes tweeting: “Ken I believe in Jesus Christ the only begotten of the Father. I believe in the Holy Spirit sent to the world by the Father!”

Perhaps not wanting to get into a lengthy debate about a position he has addressed before, Jakes shut down the conversation and reportedly blocked Silva on Twitter, writing: “What I don’t believe in is dividing the body of Christ or allowing obnoxious communications in my space so….”

While all of the conversations are not recorded here, my question is “Is T.D. Jakes embarassed of what he believes? Why does he not just say that, “no I don’t believe in the Trinity; it’s a man-made doctrine that is not found in the Bible”? One of the dangers in always associating with Trinitarian pastors, is that there seems to be a tendency on many to dilute their own beliefs to accommodate others.

Urgent Prayer Request For Bishop Kenneth Haney

It is an urgent matter that all of our Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal blog audience pass the word to pray for Bishop Kenneth Haney of Stockton, CA. Apostolic News prays for the quick healing that only our God can do.

The following excerpt was found on the Christian Life Center website:

Dear friends,

I am writing on behalf of Sister Haney and the Haney  family to request your prayers for Bishop Kenneth Haney.  Bishop Haney  went in for testing yesterday, September 22nd, and following a CAT scan  and MRI, it was determined that he has a large tumor resting on his  brain.  The doctors have stated that it is inoperable by man; however,  the Haney family is believing in the Great Physician for his healing.   We are all trusting Him for the miracle to be done.  Please join with  us, and request that your churches join with us, in praying that God  will be glorified one more time!
We deeply appreciate your prayers, and the outpouring of love that has already been felt.

I Cant Wait Till God Becomes The Popular Subject….

Last night in service as my Pastor was preaching, he was sharing with us how he has spiritual dreams. He dreams of the altar being filled with souls seeking the Holy Ghost. He dreams of the baptistery filled with souls going down in Jesus Name. He dreams of a day when God becomes the popular subject.

I too share the same sentiments. The bible says in Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge…..” The knowledge of who God really is. The knowledge that we are nothing without Him and with Him all things are possible. These are not just cliché’s but to the Christian this is a reality. I really can’t wait till God becomes the popular subject to tweet about, to put on Facebook, to text about. If you look at the top 10 tweets of the day, you will notice God is no where on that list. This is proof (according to those that use twitter) that God is not even a priority in people’s lives (sinners and Saints alike). When Beyoncés pregnancy can go viral and an invitation to church is disregarded by the same person, we really have a problem. Where are our priorities in America? Why do we dwell on everything and everyone that can’t even guarantee you eternal life. I just don’t get it.

I try not to get involved in the “hype” especially when it comes to secular carnal individuals. There not saved so why am I Googling their names??? Why am I tweeting theses “gods” names in the late night hours? People have more knowledge about who one last nights game than what John 1:1 says. And I’m referring to Christians. I actually don’t expect the world to know these things.

In conclusion, the point I’m trying to make is, Is God The Popular Subject in YOUR Life? If He is not, then we as Apostolics need to re-evaluate how much time we are giving towards the other “gods” of this world. We need to re-evaluate who is really FIRST in our life. I want to encourage each of you to NOT be destroyed because of lack of knowledge but to consciously make an effort to make God first in your life. Make Him the popular subject in your life today and I bet if we all get on one accord and do just that, we will see the name of God (Lord Jesus Christ) making its way to the top of everyone’s list.

Bless you in Jesus Name.

P.S. No matter if God ever makes it in the top ten of twitter (lol) He is always going to be POPULAR whether people accept or reject Him…… (God I soooooo love you for that)!

Exposing The Three Tricks Of The Enemy: Flesh, Eyes, And Pride Of Life!

In this short but profound lesson, I want you to know the three things the devil will use to trick you into sin. 1 John 2:16 says “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” When you operate in carnality, you are most certainly operating in one of these three areas. Satan will attempt to destroy your soul with sin. This is why it is so important to put on holiness attributes.

Satan will use the lust of the flesh to destroy you. Some example of the lust of the flesh would be adultery and fornication. In these examples, the body (flesh) craves what does not belong to you (another man or woman). To go even a step further, when you can’t find a person to gratify the flesh, you in turn start to find things in ungodly magazines and ungodly websites that promote “flesh on parade”. A horrendous cycle then starts which seems you can’t get out of its gripe. But God has equipped every believer with the power to withstand this trick of the enemy.

Satan then will try to use the lust of your eyes. A major example of the lust of the eyes would be covetousness. Covetousness is wanting or desiring something that is not yours or does not belong to you.

“Jesus admonishes us to “take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses” Luke 12:15. Paul instructs us to “put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry” Col. 3:5. The parable of the rich fool shows how dangerous a covetous attitude can be Luke 12:16-20. (What are you willing to let keep you out of heaven By David Padfield)

Finally Satan will use the pride of life to destroy you. A wonderful researched example of the pride of life would be “vain craving for honor and applause, or the stubborn mind-set that will not allow one to repent of and confess their sins.” (What are you willing to let keep you out of heaven By David Padfield) Pride causes people to stay unrepentant. No repentance equals no forgiveness of sin. No forgiveness of sin means no access to heaven. Why operate like this when Jesus freely died just so that you can have the right to eternal life.

In conclusion, there is hope! “……but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” 1 John 2:17. So we see that if we do God’s will (which is found in His Word) we will abide with Him forever (which means your eternal heavenly destination). Here is one sure way to protect yourself from the enemy. We all know this scripture, but sometimes with the trials of life, we need to be reminded of how we can win this battle. Ephesians 6:11 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

  • The Belt Of Truth: Jesus Is The Truth John 14:6
  • The Shoes Of Readiness and Peace
  • The Breast Plate Of Righteousness – Jesus Is Our Righteousness Jeremiah 23:6
  • The Shield Of Faith – Having Faith in Jesus alone Acts 17:11
  • The Helmet Of Salvation – Biblical Salvation Born Of Water and Spirit John 3:7
  • The Sword Of The Spirit – Holy Ghost Infilling Acts 1:8

As you start your Monday, I encourage you to put the Word into action and make a concise effort by the power that is within to conquer the flesh and give no room for Satan to have any glory in your life. God is to get All THE GLORY and you can be sure in this when you walk in the Spirit.

Hurricane Irene – Take Cover East Coast Saints!

Now is NOT the time to be a deep wonder and attempt to pray the storm away (even though God could very well cause the storm to do a U-Turn). The Hurricane is on its way. (just joking about being a deep wonder).

All jokes aside, obey the laws of the land, if your Governor has told you to leave town, please use wisdom and pack up the wife, the kids, and the dogs and go inland. A number of Saints are spread all throughout the coast (especially all of my New York, Virginia, DC, and North Carolina Saints).  For more information on Hurricane Irene, click here. Be blessed, and hold on tight cause “the storm is a comin children”

We can agree to disagree on a lot of issues, however there are some things which are clearly irrefutable (meaning you cannot  deny it). Using scripture (and not a denominational handbook or organizational doctrine) I want to share with the world that the Lord Jesus Christ is 100%  Human and 100% God. He was not just the Son of God but He was and currently still is God Almighty. Matter of fact, “if” you get to heaven, you will on;y see  just 1 God sitting on the throne. Jesus is the Name of that One God who manifested Himself through the titles (NOT PERSONS, NOT TRIUNE BEING, NOT Co-Equal PERSONS) Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.  Below you will find an awesome chart prepared by Bro. David Bernard which clearly depicts the God-Man Christ. Open your Bibles for yourself and see if it’s not true. Hebrews 11:6 requires you to believe on this precious truth. You can’t escape it. “…for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” That said, I’m here to help you understand by posting this chart. I want you to sit back and enjoy obeying 2 Timothy 2:15. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” I would like to end with this quote:

We can resolve most questions about the Godhead if we properly understand the dual nature of Jesus. When we read a statement about Jesus we must determine if it describes Jesus as a man or as God. Moreover, whenever Jesus speaks in Scripture we must determine whether He is speaking as man or as God. Whenever we see a description of two natures with respect to Jesus, we should not think of
two persons in the Godhead or of two Gods, but we should think of Spirit and flesh. (David K. Bernard)

The Dual Nature of Jesus Christ
As a man, Jesus But as God, He:
1 Was born a baby Luke 2:7 Existed from eternity Micah 5:2; John 1:1-2
2 Grew mentally, physically, spiritually, socially Luke 2:52 Never changes Hebrews 13:8
3 Was tempted by the devil Luke 4:2 Cast out devils Matthew 12:28
4 Hungered Matthew 4:2 Was the Bread of Life and miraculously fed multitudes John 6:35; Mark 6:38-44, 52
5 Thirsted John 19:28 Gave living water John 4:14
6 Grew weary John 4:6 Gave rest Matthew 11:28
7 Slept in a storm Mark 4:38 Calmed the storm Mark 4:39-41
8 Prayed Luke 22:41 Answered prayer John 14:14
9 Was scourged and beaten John 19:1-3 Healed the sick Matthew 8:16-17; I Peter 2:24
10 Died Mark 15:37 Raised His own body from the dead John 2:19-21; 20:9
11 Was a sacrifice for sin Hebrews 10:10-12 Forgave sin Mark 2:5-7
12 Did not know all things Mark 13:32 Knew all things John 21:17
13 Had no power John 5:30 Had all power Matthew 28:18; Colossians 2:10
14 Was inferior to God John 14:28 Was equal to God – was God John 5:18
15 Was a servant Philippians 2:7-8 Was King of kings Revelation 19:16

Earthquake! Did you feel it?????

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake based in Virginia sent tremors from the nation’s capital to New York City and New England Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

Buildings throughout major metropolitan centers in the northeast were evacuated after the quake, and tremors were felt as far north as Bath, Me., and as far south as Hampstead, N.C., with some limited reports of damage reported near the quake’s epicenter in Virginia, where a nearby nuclear power plant was taken offline. Amtrak trains were temporarily halted, and cellphone service was disrupted as calls flooded cellular systems.

While there were only limited reports of damage, the breadth of the quake rattled nerves along the Northeast. The streets of downtown Washington filled with thousands of people on Tuesday afternoon as buildings from the Capitol to the White House were evacuated the 1:51 p.m. quake, which lasted by varying accounts anywhere from 20 to 30 seconds.  (By KATHARINE Q. The Result, Test, Trial, and Strength Of Your Faith

Abraham was the Father of Faith. He was also the Father of many nations. He was a man who walked by faith and not by sight alone. Abraham was an excellent example of how faith is to operate in the lives of the believer. Noah was also a great man of faith. The building of an unseen ark is proof alone that Noah walk strictly by faith. In the Old Testament portion of scriptures, the Old Testament Saints had to strictly walk by faith. Today, we have the Bible and the Holy  Ghost. Truly we have it made in this hour. Christianity today has a lot of advantages that did not exist in the Old Testament. Imagine what life would be like if we didn’t have the Holy Ghost nor a Bible to read and had to solely rely on the spoken Word of God with no inward power residing on the inside of us. WOW! Something to think about right?

Hebrews 11:1 says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith has substance. Real faith causes you to act accordingly as outlined in the Word of God When you can’t see it, your faith is to give you confidence that it shall come to pass. Remember, God cannot lie. God’s people have always come out on the right side ALL OF THE TIME! When you don’t know Gods will for your life, He will give you then guide you by His Spirit by giving us the Spirit of Understanding.

Luke 17:5 says “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.”. Every man is given a measure of faith. But like a credit or debit card that is received in the mail, it is not activated yet. Ironically, what activates FAITH is FAITH! You heard right, the measure of faith lying dormant in your body is activated solely by faith (i.e. belief). If you want to know how to get faith, turn with me to Romans 10:17. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” So the bible makes it clear to us, the only way your faith will be activated is by hearing the Word of God.

So lets add this all up. God has given you a measure of faith. However it needs to be activated. Faith causes the activation process to start activating the measure of faith that is in you. However, the only way for this process to take effect is by the hearing the Word of God which we clearly read in Romans 10:17. Got it? Good!

Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” We see here that it is literally impossible to please God without faith. We have to believe that God is exactly who He said He is. Time and time again, people attempt to ride on the coat-tail of their parents faith (i.e. mom and dad)or someone elses, but according to scripture you cant live off of someone elses faith. You must have your own. 1 John 5:14 says to keep YOUR faith in God (not in mom or pops or some other holy individual).

Faith is not something shallow, Faith takes God at His word. Here is a scripture that shows us one of the many benefits faith gives us. Read Ephesians 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”. Did I just read that correctly? You mean faith allows me to quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked??????????? So you mean to tell me I am equipped to battle all the foolishness that I have to put up with at work and school??????? Are you serious???? YES! We read this passage right! Faith WILL allow you to quench not SOME but ALL the fiery darts of the wicked (Saints I think its time to activate that faith now). Yes Lord!

In conclusion, James 1:5-6 says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” So we see by this scripture that if we lack wisdom, ASK and God will give us wisdom liberally. This scripture also teaches us to not waver in our faith. I want to encourage you Saints not to waver. If you waver, your just like a wave in the sea that’s driven by the wind, being tossed all over the place.

Trust God as the scripture commands and watch God increase your faith in Him just like he promised us. Today, lets all start activating that faith that lies within each of us.

Psalm 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Isaiah 26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

This was our Sunday morning worship sermon which set the House on fire with FAITH. Want to give credit to my Pastor for an excellent sermon he preached this past Sunday. This blog post is a reprint of the many notes I took in church this Sunday morning.

Morning and Evening Worship 8/21/11

After last nights service, I can’t believe I can even type. I say that because Deliverance broke out in the middle of our great Pastor preaching last night. The entire congregation went running to the altar seeking the face of God SMACK DEAD in the middle of the sermon. I was in the balcony and I couldn’t get out my seat fast enough. I actually just wanted to flip out the balcony and land straight on the altar (but opted not to as I didn’t want any broken bones lol lol…..just being dramatic…) That said, I can’t type long but stay tuned. I want to recap morning worships sermon for you and tell you the awesome things God did in both morning and evening worship.

Promises You Can Bank On

After a global financial crisis, the US government enacted stricter laws to protect people from questionable banking practices. Banks had to change some of their policies to comply. To notify me of such changes, my bank sent me a letter. But when I got to the end I had more questions than answers. The use of phrases like “we may” and “at our discretion” certainly didn’t sound like anything I could depend on!

In contrast, the Old Testament quotes God as saying “I will” numerous times. God promises David: “I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever” (2 Sam. 7:12-13). No uncertainty in those words. Recognizing God’s faithfulness to His promises, King Solomon says in his prayer of dedication for the temple: “You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand” (2 Chron. 6:15). Centuries later, the apostle Paul said that all of God’s promises are “yes” in Christ (2 Cor. 1:20).

In a world of uncertainty, our trust is in a faithful God who will always keep His promises.

Whatever trouble may assail, Of this we can be sure: God’s promises can never fail, They always will endure. —Hess

Faith knows that God always performs what He promises.

Dont Be An Illiterate Christian

Some people are just set out on NOT reading their Word and being obedient to the commands of God. Since the death of Zachery Tims, I have read so many comments on message boards and blogs that I am convinced that people enjoy being in the dark when it comes to the Word. Get this, if the bible clearly says in 1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” why are people so insistent upon staying in the dark and operating on their own terms when it comes to their Christian walk?

People wake up! Dont be such an illiterate Christian. By illiterate I mean you don’t read your bible with Holy Ghost understanding at all. Instead, you misquote scriptures and twist man-made tradition to fit your idea of getting a clear understanding of the Word. You spew this garbage all over the internet and make Christianity the laughing stock of the world. Why are people so insistent upon NOT following 2 Timothy 2:15 which clearly says “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” You know how I know your not studying? Because you misquote scripture left and right especially when someone comes against your Pastor. You say things like “Judge not lest ye be judged” or  “Ye without sin cast the first stone” and this is a biggie you always say “Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm” Right, yet your prophet’s actions dont even line up with the Word of God. Let me ask you this, who told you those were the correct scriptures to use when a Pastor is found committing adultery, or using drugs while still preaching to you on Sunday morning, or having babies out-of-wedlock with the sisters of the church. Who told you to defend your Pastors actions based on these scriptures? If you knew what the Word said, you’d got he opposite direction of these type of leaders and find you a 1 Timothy 3:1-7 Pastor (and trust me, there are plenty of those Pastors around…..can I get a witness, AMEN!)

What don’t you understand about a Pastor being blameless?????? Your bible says he is to be blameless. Ok, lets just say you don’t know what that word means, today you’re going to find out, blameless means innocent of wrongdoing (Dictionary.com). That alone disqualifies most of these prosperity and word of faith preachers (as their sole purpose is to get your money and buy mansions, cars, go on big vacations, and leave you high and dry with words like “just speak the Word of Faith and watch God do it”). Yeah right!  Here are some other things your Pastor should be. Husband of one wife (yet your Pastor has divorced his wife and has moved on to women number 2 and 3), vigilant (Keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties), sober (yet your Pastor is a drunk and uses drugs), of good behaviour (yet your Pastor ends up in jail time and time again). Yet when a true Saint points out your erroneous beliefs and errors, you throw up scriptures like “touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm”. Do you even know what that means??????????? First, the word TOUCH literally means to physically touch someone and do physical harm. Here is a quote that I found while researching written by Let Us Reason Together Ministries.

“Since most of these so called anointed teachers that come under their follower’s protection teach the Word out of context, its not surprising that they would quote a verse of Scripture removed  from its correct meaning for their own self- protection. Those who shout don’t touch God’s anointed think they are doing God’s work, but they rarely ever look at the facts presented. They listen to their teachers and do not want to hear the other side of the story. They cut themselves off from hearing the truth. And some, even when they are shown false
teachings and prophecies do not care, but look to some personality who captured their loyalty.”

“First: we are not to judge a man and his eternal destiny which is left up to God, but if we see their teachings as destructive, the Bible tells us to judge, it is a command. So if you are telling people not to judge by repeating the Scripture “touch not my anointed” you are telling them to be disobedient to God’s command. That’s the clear and simple answer to this matter. So it has absolutely nothing to do with this cliché touch not my anointed. To hold to this shows ones immaturity in the Word.” (Let Us Reason Together Ministries, 2009)

Judge not lest ye be judged. What does that mean and why are people so set out of using it as soon as we point out actions that clearly go against scripture? Again folks, read your Word in its entirety so you can know the truth and the truth will MAKE you free.

”This is the verse so many use to try to shame Christians for discerning poor behavior, ethics, morals, and values: the “judge not lest ye be judged”……..”This verse is not speaking to not judging at all — it is speaking to not judging unfairly or any other cheap and selfish way.”  (ChildCare Action Project (CAP) Ministry A Nonprofit Christian Ministry)

Here is the reason why we all are called to be “fruit inspectors”. The bible clearly says in Matthew 7:15 ““Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits.” So, in other words, the only way we can know based off the Word that someone is a wolf in sheep’s clothing is to JUDGE THEM based off their fruit that they show. Hello somebody! So we ARE allowed to judge someone based off their fruit they bear (and not  off of their mere outward appearance). Yall better start being fruit inspectors otherwise your going to be sitting under a wolf in sheep’s clothing and before you know it, its gonna be too late.

Finally, the biggest cliché of them all. Ye without sin cast the first stone. Oh boy, here we go. Your being a “deep wonder” at the wrong time. Take the time to stop and read your Word with understanding.

Jesus was not arguing with the judgment. Nor was Jesus arguing the law nor the woman’s guilt. Jesus was arguing with our right to execute the woman. Once all the men had dropped their stones Jesus confronted the woman and asked her if any of the men were still there to condemn her. When she answered “No man, Lord”, Jesus told her that neither did He – He forgave her of her sin. He did not excuse the sin of adultery/prostitution, he forgave her of it. All behavior and thought that is sinful before forgiveness is still sinful after
forgiveness. Not only was Jesus not afraid to call a sin a sin, He was not
afraid to call a sinner a sinner. He even reminded her of the sin of
adultery/prostitution by telling her “Go and sin no more.” (ChildCare Action Project (CAP) Ministry A Nonprofit Christian Ministry)

As I close, I want us to make a conscious commitment to not be an illiterate Christian but instead, study God’s Word, meditate on it day and night, get the true revelation and not some manmade misquoted cliché. If you are able to read this post, you are also able to read the Bible and apply its truths with clear understanding. The bible says ”Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15″. Put this scripture into action today. Make it your business to no longer be bound to ungodly and erroneous clichés, but take the Word as it is without adding your own twist to it. It is my sole purpose and goal to expose False Prophets (not just in name but by their actions) and to point people toward The Truth. If the Bible says The Truth will make you free, that means if your not operating in The Truth, you MUST BE BOUND! If I were you, I’d choose freedom.

The examples I used today have nothing to do with Zachery Tims. As far as I am concerned, anything you read about him is accusations and nothing more. I did not know him personally and I feel really sorry for his 4 children now having to grow up without a father in their life. While we can’t pray for the dead, let us pray for the living, each person that is affected by Zachery Tims death.

On a final note, you are reading an Apostolic Oneness Pentecostal blog posting. If you don’t know who Jesus is, I invite you to stick around so we can show you the more excellent way. We believe in repentance of sin, water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the in filling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:38). We belive there is ONE God (Deuteronomy 6:4), that God has a Name. We hold firm that Jesus is the Almighty God and no one else Isaiah 9:6-9, John 1:1, Matthew 1:23, Revelation 22:13). If today is your first time here, WELCOME and please come again, and again and watch God show you a more excellent way to serve Him.

Megachurch Pastor Zachary Tims Passes Away In NYC Hotel @ 42

The pastor of a Florida megachurch who often appeared on TBN’s “Praise the Lord” program, has been found dead inside a New York City hotel room. Police say Zachery Tims was discovered on the floor of a room in the W Hotel in Times Square about 6 p.m. on Friday.

It was not immediately clear if Tims, 42, had been alone in the hotel room.

No foul play was suspected, officials told The Associated Press. An autopsy was expected to reveal the cause of death.

Tims and his family founded New Destiny Christian Center (NDCC) in Apopka, Fla., in 1996 where he served as senior pastor. The church boasts a congregation of about 8,000, according to its website.

A message was posted on NDCC’s website Sunday, informing congregants that a meeting would be held to discuss Pastor Tim’s death.

The note read:

Today has been filled with rumors and speculations regarding Pastor Zach. We are having a meeting on tomorrow, Monday, August 15th at 7:00pm. Please join us. We look forward to seeing you there.

Condolences have been pouring in since the weekend, with many awaking Monday morning to the shocking news of Tims’ death. Many visitors to New Destiny Christian Center’s Facebook and Twitter pages were expressing sadness over the Florida church’s loss.

One visitor, Travis Warren, wrote Monday on NDCC’s Facebook page: “Words cannot fully express the depth of my sorrow that I feel at this moment in time having lost our shepherd, Dr. Zachery Tims. While I do not question God I am simply perplexed. I thank God for using DOC to show me and the world that it was cool to be young, gifted, and be connected with a great Church like New Destiny. RIP DOC, you will be truly missed for an eternity. Thanks for keeping it oh so REAL!”

Val Flan, another visitor on the church’s Facebook page, wrote: “Was shocked and sadden by this devastating news. My deepest condolences to the Tims family. Rest assure(d) he is in Gods care.”

According to his biography on NDCC’s website, Tims had a troubled youth before he was “miraculously saved, instantly delivered from drug addiction, and called into ministry.”

Tims, who divorced in 2009, leaves behind four children.

I may not know this brother personally, but if you watched the clip below, that was him preaching and the Power of God fell right in this computer lab (and yes I lifted my hands). I wanted to feature him on the blog as there seems to be an awful notion going on that the UPCI is not culturally diverse (you were thinking it, I just said it aloud). Well here is proof that there ARE multi-cultural Apostolic Churches out there. If you’re in the Tampa Area, visit Victory Tabernacle UPCI church. I’m most sure you will get a GOOD WORD there.

And remember, the only unification that needs to take place is within the Body of Christ. Stop looking to unify with the world and other world religions and denominations that don’t preach truth. Unity can and will only be found amongst true believers (but this is another topic we can deal with at a later date..just had to add my two cents).

PREACH BROTHER COLLINS (as I find a plane ticket to Tampa to go and visit this church…lol…I know yall have crazy stomp down church…heheheeh)

UPCI: North American Youth Congress Highlights Video 2011 (Columbus Ohio)

I wanted the readers to get a birds eye view of someones experience at this years North American Youth Congress and from what it looks like (and according to testimonies), THEY HAD CHURCH!!!!!!!! Below will be a professional video of a praise and worship song and I thought everyone would enjoy. We praise God for all the wonderful testimonies of those who were baptised in Jesus Name and those that received the gift of the Holy Ghost. 25,000+ Apostolic Youth and Young Adults were all sent home on fire for God. What a mighty God we serve.

Trinitarians (as well as all other world religious people) will ask you some questions concerning the Apostolic Pentecostal Oneness belief that Jesus is God and God is Jesus. They will attempt to use certain scriptures to justify their thinking why  titles the Father, Son, Holy Ghost are 3 persons (thus the non biblical word Trinity is conceived from). As a believer of the Apostolic Faith and member of Gods true Body of Christ, you should instantly be able to point these individuals to scripture (not your doctrine manual or organizational creed etc. etc). That said, below are some common questions that people will ask you and that you and I should be able to answer them straight from the Word. (Credit is given to my Pastor for the excellent Sunday Morning sermon he preached on the Godhead and David K Bernard in writing the book The Oneness of God).

Side Note:  If you are a Trinitarian reader of this blog, I believe it was God ordained that you came here to read about God’s Truth found only in the Word of God. I understand it is very hard to let go of a tradition that you’ve been taught for so long, and at times you might take offense when someone shows you something different from what you were taught. By no means is this article to condemn you (as long as there is life there is hope). That said, ask God to show you if these scriptures are indeed true and to be followed. I promise you, God will reveal an answer that will cause you to go to the next level in God.

Question: If Jesus is God, than who was Jesus praying to in the Garden of Gethsemane?

Answer: Jesus had a perfect “dual nature”. He was fully God (the Father) when He healed the sick, raised the dead, delivered demonized people, calmed the sea and wind, multiplied the bread and fish, put a coin in a fish’s mouth, turned water into
wine, etc. He was fully Man (the Son) when he wept, thirsted, hungered, slept,
etc. In the Garden, His flesh (the Son) cried out to the Spirit (the Father) to
be delivered from what was coming. Because of Him being God, Jesus KNEW when He would die, how He would die, where He would die, etc. He KNEW!!! While being
God, He could handle that (and everything else…), but as Man, His flesh
rebelled against it. The prayer in the Garden was to put His flesh under
subjection to the Spirit.

Do the prayers of Christ indicate a distinction of persons between Jesus and the Father? No. On the contrary, His praying indicates a distinction between the Son of God and God. Jesus prayed in His humanity, not in His deity. If the prayers of Jesus demonstrate that the divine nature of Jesus is different than the Father, then Jesus is inferior to the Father in deity. In other words, if Jesus prayed as God then His position in the Godhead would be somehow inferior to the other “persons.” This one example effectively destroys the concept of a trinity of co-equal persons.

How can God pray and still be God? By definition, God in His omnipotence has no need to pray, and in His oneness has no other to whom He can pray. If the prayers of Jesus prove there are two persons in the Godhead, then one of those persons is subordinate to the other and therefore not fully or truly God.

What, then, is the explanation of the prayers of Christ? It can only be that the human nature of Jesus prayed to the eternal Spirit of God. The divine nature did not need help; only the human nature did. As Jesus said at the Garden of Gethsemane, “The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). Hebrews 5:7 makes it clear that Jesus needed to pray only during “the days of his flesh.” During the prayer at Gethsemane, the human will submitted itself to the divine will. Through prayer His human nature learned to submit and be obedient to the Spirit of God (Philippians 2:8; Hebrews 5:7-8). This was not a struggle between two divine wills, but a struggle between the human and divine wills in Jesus. As a man Jesus submitted Himself to and received strength from the Spirit of God. (David K Bernard The Oneness Of God)

Question: If Jesus is God, who was He talking to on the cross when He was about to die?

Answer: “There were not two sons – a divine son and a human son – but there were two natures – deity and humanity – fused in one person. The divine Spirit could not be separated from the human nature and life continue. But in His agonizing process of dying, Jesus suffered the pains of our sins. Dying became death when He yielded His Spirit.

In other words, what Jesus meant when He cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” was that he had taken the place of sinful man on the cross and was suffering the full punishment for sin. There was no abatement of suffering because of His deity. Since all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), all mankind (except for the sinless Christ) deserved to die. Christ took our place and suffered the death that we deserved (Romans 5:6-9). Jesus was more than a courageous martyr like Stephen and more than an Old Testament sacrifice, because He died in our place and experienced for a time the death we deserved. On the cross, He tasted death for every man (Hebrews 2:9). This death was more than physical death; it also involved spiritual death, which is separation from God (II Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:14).” (David K Bernard The Oneness Of God)

Question: If Jesus is God, then who is the voice we here from Heaven?

Answer: Three times in the life of Jesus a voice came from heaven: at His baptism, at His transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-9), and after His triumphal entry into Jerusalem (John 12:20-33). We have just explained that a voice does not indicate a separate person in the Godhead but only another manifestation of the omnipresent Spirit of God.

In each of the three cases, the voice was not for the benefit of Jesus but for the benefit of others, and it came for a specific purpose. As we have discussed, the voice at Christ’s baptism was part of the inauguration of His earthly ministry. It was for the people’s sake, just as the dove was for John’s sake. The voice introduced Jesus as the Son of God: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). The voice at the transfiguration unquestionably was for the benefit of the onlooking disciples, for the message was, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear ye him” (Matthew 17:5). The third manifestation of the voice occurred when a group of Greeks (apparently Gentile proselytes) came to see Jesus. Jesus explained that the voice was not for Him but for the people (John 12:30). Doctrine!

Excerpt of Atlanta West Pentecostal Church Messenger

“It Is Written”

Recent statistics provide undeniable evidence that the society in which we live has been “tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine” (Ephesians 4:14). In a 2011 survey conducted by the Barna Group, 48% of those surveyed agreed with the statement that “if a person is generally good or does enough good things for others, they will earn a place in heaven.” An even larger number (59%) said that Christians and Muslims worship the same God, just with different names and beliefs, while 43% agreed that “the Bible, the Koran, and the Book of Mormon are all different
expressions of the same spiritual truths.”

A 2010 poll conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life revealed that 76% of respondents believed many religions can lead to eternal life. From those who agreed with that statement, 53% identified Hinduism as a possible path to eternal life, 52% said the same of Islam, and an alarming 42% of participants believed it was possible for atheists to spend eternity in heaven.

This lack of acceptance of biblical teaching does not end with individuals. Several churches in large metropolitan areas (including Atlanta) recently held special services in which the sermon and Sunday school lessons focused upon Muhammad, the founder of Islam, and copies of the Koran were placed in the pews alongside the Bible.

The reason so many people have views contrary to the Word of God stems from the fact that we live in a society in which the Bible is increasingly viewed unfavorably. The average of Gallup polls taken in 2005 – 2007 shows that only 31% of respondents viewed the Bible as the actual Word of God to be taken literally, while 19% were willing to go so far as to say that the Bible simply consisted of “ancient fables, history, [and] legends recorded by man.”

In order to fulfill the mission of the church to reach our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we must stand firm against the tide of secularism and attempts to undermine faith in God’s Word by openly declaring the truth as revealed in Scripture.
This is the dual purpose of the upcoming doctrinal conference at Atlanta West:
to strengthen the doctrinal foundations of our organization, and to reach out
to those in our city who have a love for God but lack complete revelation of
His truth.

Prior to the beginning of His public ministry, Jesus Christ was led into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. He was first challenge to transform a group of stones nearby into bread, certainly an effective appeal to Christ’s flesh, as He had been fasting for forty days. Next, Satan attempted to provoke Jesus into jumping off a cliff and summoning angels to His rescue, an appeal to the human weakness of pride. Finally, Jesus was taken to the peak of a towering mountain and shown all the kingdoms of the world, a temptation of the eyes and lust for power inherent within human nature.

Each time Satan presented the most attractive objects in his arsenal, Jesus responded by quoting the Word of God. His responses began with a simple statement: “It is written” (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10). This phrase spoken by Jesus to overcome the devil provides the theme of Doctrinal Conference 2011 (DC 11), which will be held at Atlanta West July 14 – 16.
